The lodge has new owners, new beds, new tv's. I really enjoyed my stay, Ann and Jeff are awesome. Everything was very clean and I love the log cabins. Jeff showed me the grounds and told me of his plans for improving the property. I can't wait to return and enjoy some more quality time.

We had stayed here twice before and enjoyed it very much. We were very disappointed when we returned this weekend. Things have really been neglected. The gardens were overgrown, the outdoor furniture was filthy and unusable, and our room was rundown. The bedding was old, lots of cobwebs around the ceiling and in the bathroom. The motel is for sale,... More

Staying the entire 4th of July weekend, I found our room to be totally satisfactory - the owner was the best; she went out of her way to accommodate our group, offering extra outdoor seating, transportation should we "drink a little" and even driving one of our group into town when stranded without a car. The rooms were rustic but... More

We stayed here on a short vacation, passing through Michigan on a tour around the Lake. The Lodge is clean and inviting. The room was comfortable and provided all the luxuries of home. The bed was comfortable and provided a great nights' sleep. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to all our friends and family!

A few of my friends and myself stayed at the Hunter's Lodge for Memorial Day weekend. When we arrived, the manager welcomed us with the up-most hospitality. The building itself is rustic and exactly what you would expect when thinking of a log cabin. But don't worry. The rooms are very modern. There are climate controls in each room. There... More

We came to Michigan for a five day conference in Grand Rapids and decided to come two days early to see the "western shore of MI." Little did we know how much we'd appreciate the room we had at Hunter's Lodge. After a full day exploring/touring Saugatuck, we up wanting to escape the craziness of the town at this time... More

We had planned to stay 3 nights at the lodge. Our check in at the "office" should have been our first clue to the filth of the cabin. A lady wreaking of cigarette smoke and covered in cat hair working out if any entryway that has not been vacuumed this century takes your final payment & guides you to your... More

A clean, cozy, and lovely getaway for two. the grounds were beautiful and our room was immaculate. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Easy access to Saugatuck and a cab was readily available for outings into town. This is no faux log cabin it is an actual log cabin. Very cool. Would highly recommend. We'll be back!

We are not the sort of people who go in for a lot of luxury, so we found The Hunter's Lodge to be a perfect place to enjoy our 35th anniversary 4-day get-away. The bed was very comfortable and the room, though on the small side, had plenty of furniture and cabinet space to stash all our belongings. We were... More

Based on the photos, reviews, and proximity to downtown Saugatuck I figured this lodge would be an adequate place for my friends and I to stay for one night during our July 4th holiday. I should have known from the "For Sale--Price Reduced" sign in the front of the property, the braless (but friendly) reception, and scent of the office,... More
