The hot tub was dirty, with green algae and scum growing/built-up around the rim. It was also 2-3 degrees too cold. Very unhealthy! Not to mention a big letdown after running a half marathon and looking forward to nice time in the tub. We stayed in room 205 and found both of the queen beds to have mattress and box... more

Rate posted for single room.....$185 per night. We were quoted $108 with AAA discount. We were given room 122, lower level room on beach with view of Mackinaw Island. Two Queen size beds, non smoking. First thing I had to call management about was the cable TV. Picture tube shot, was like looking through a telescope and the only colors... more

I loved the hot breakfast. This was great. Pool was ok. Dont expect personal attention. Your on your own. If you want quite stay , stay on the third floor. The second and first you better expect noise from little feet running up and down the rooms. You can here walking and running. Boom Boom Boom = headache. Our room... more

We stayed for two nights in a room with two Queen sized beds and a gorgeous view of the lake. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean (with the exception of some spiders who had made their way in), and the staff we dealt with were very friendly. The balcony had tons of spider webs on the chairs. The... more

Went for a pleasure trip to see the fall colors. Stayed the night before in the Holiday Inn in Mackinaw across the bridge, but came here when the other could not give us two nights in a row. Check in -easy. Found people friendly. Cheaper than Mackinaw City. Large lobby. Breakfast was ample.. Breakfast attendant says hotel is closed in... more

After seeing the reviews for this Hotel, I was a bit nervous, but booked anyway. I trust the HI Express brand, because we have enjoyed many stays with this chain in various locations with out problem. This hotel was okay, but did not match the quality for value of other HI Express properties. I'll start with the positive. The view... more

Stayed here two nights. First room ("lake front") had nice view, but family with 2 kids overhead. We asked to be moved, and went to the other end of the 2nd floor. Later that afternoon, another family with 2 kids checked in above us. Kids aren't the problem, it's the hotel construction. Lots of bumping, running, booms from above. Finally... more

Picture in the website looks awesome. But I felt pathetic when I got into the room. Not to forget I saw a few spiders along the stairs and hallway. The break fast area is too small that it could hardly accomodate 20 people in the room. more

We booked the 2 Queen, Jacuzzi room via lastminute.com. After reading the reviews here, i wasn't expecting too much. Our room was very nice and clean, with only a little tattered carpet at the edge of the bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. We checked out the other hotels on St. Igance, and they were not any better, and... more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in St. Ignace, MI for one night on May 8, 2007. The outside of the hotel looks very nice and there were probably only about 5 cars in the lot as it was early in the season for tourists. The woman at the counter was ok, she could have been nicer, but was... more
