I had to be in the area for 2 days in order to speak at a church. Being a missionary, I am on a very tight budget. I was having trouble finding a hotel under $80 when I came across the Village Inn. I was visiting during the winter so regular rooms were $45 and the balcony rooms were $55.... More

My car broke down just south of the bridge and there weren't any auto shops open on the weekend. I ended up staying at the Village Inn, and I couldn't have been happier that it happened at that location and that I spent a few nights there. Unbelievably well-priced rooms for the size and amenities: incredibly clean, extremely welcoming staff,... More

By the time we reached St. Ignace, second week of October, most of the crowds were gone, and there were plenty of cheap available rooms in town. We chose Village Inn because I'd read the good reviews. We were able to grab one of the view rooms for $50.00, with tax. The room was clean, the view was great. We... More

We stayed at the village inn for the bridge walk. For the price it was well worth every dollar! Great location & good food. My only suggestion would be to have mini microwave/fridge's in the rooms. I will definitely stay here again!

Okay, I get the TripAdvisorites always give credit to a bargain. I'm often that way myself. But this place is over-rated. Pros: Very inexpensive ($65 in early September) Air-conditioned Adequate wifi Adquately clean (not sparkling by any means) Cons: Beds not very comfortable (too hard for me) Old-fashioned tv Second floor walk-up with your luggage Hard to use doorkey If... We stayed at the Village Inn to see the downtown but mainly to go to Mackinac Island. The location of the hotel is great: walking distance to downtown St. Ignace and one of the ferry docks right across the street. The staff was very friendly and our room was great. It was spacious and clean. We had a fridge in... More

We were very pleased with the Village Inn. Not only was it reasonably priced, we had a balcony room which we really enjoyed the view of Lake Huron and Mackinaw Island. Also with the ferry right across the street and the bar/restaurant right there, it was all we needed for a nice get away.

A very reasonably priced room and a great location. The room was very big and clean. No breakfast, just muffins and coffee. Muffins don't come out til 8:30. One of the ferry's to Mackinaw Island is right across the street.

Couldn't ask for anything better! $75 for four of us, balcony room, and very clean! They even gave us rags to wipe off our wet bikes. I only wish the restaurant was open for breakfast. We ate dinner there and it was great. Beautiful view and even had a rainbow over Mackinac Island.

stopped in because we got rained out on the bikes. I asked about the food and "mister" Mike the bartender says all the food is fresh and never frozen. I ordered the chimichanga. Unreal how good it was. We find out they have hotels upstairs and decided to stay the night. rooms were nice, clean and VERY affordable. Mike and... More
