Thank goodness we only had to stay for one night. While the cottage looked cute from the outside, the floor was uneven and felt unstable and the whole place needed to be scrubbed. It smelled musty and like someone had smoked in the room. If you stay here, plan to make your own beds and haul out the trash. Ridiculous.

Stick leg table, hand painted chairs, and lots of pine will take you back to the 50s. Our room was large and clean. Only complaint was that the pillows were too flat for me. But, my wife liked hers. Located 5 minutes outside of St. Ignace. $65 for the night.

I love camping. I don't like being ripped off though. I can't understand why this is the top rated place in St Ignace. We stayed about four hours before asking for a refund. The floors were filthy, as was the rest of the cabin. The floors slanted on the ends of the cabin. Cobwebs everywhere. Saw mice inside the cabin.... More

I'll be as fair and diplomatic as possible... Our cabin was very dirty, but the kicker was when I saw a mouse in our bedroom. When I told the owner that I needed a refund, and mentioned the mouse, he asked how many as though that mattered, and said that we are trespassers into the animal's domain. Ok, I get... More

I can only review the motel, I have no idea what the cabins are like. I guess I can't really complain, as the motel rooms were exactly as their photos. I paid $74 per night and should have forked over the extra for a cabin. The room was basic and clean. I didn't have a problem with it, but my... More

We stayed in Cabin #3 overnight. The format is designed for a lengthier family stay, which would be fun. They are 1930 log cabins, but well-maintained and clean. It had a very slight odor of cigarette smoke. The bathroom is tiny, but clean and okay. We discovered an ant infestation IN OUR OWN STUFF as we were unloading the truck.... More

Log cabins my kids renamed "little house on the Prarie" hotel - true authentic 1800's style cabins - way cool. a short but fascinating hiking path through the woods and over a running creek. beach across the street - but don't bother with it if you can drive up the five miles west to the uninhabited shoreline with public beaches... We didn't realize they had little cabins until somebody at the deer ranch recommended them for their cabins out back. They provide maps of trails they have that go throughout their 40 acres they own. They are surrounded by state land.they do not have cable or antenna tv only vhs which they have movies at the office you can borrow... More

Nice quite rustic, will certainly return! If you are looking for a up north adventure that is close to the Island or the beach this is it. Make sure to bring the bug spray...the mosquitoes in the UP are aggressive ;)

We stayed in cabin #4. At first arriving our initial impression was 'what kind of dump have we reserved'. But we soon discovered that it was a very nice place. The cabin was very cute and had plenty of space. I think we must have been the first guests of the season. The cabin smelled musty. We opened the windows... More
