My mom and I stayed here back in May, and we used it as a base to explore the area. We loved that it was close enough to the main drag of St. Ignace to be convenient, but far enough away to be quieter. Fantastic views of the lake, and the lady who owned the place was very friendly. We... More

We have stayed at this motel twice so far. Rates are very reasonable in high season and rooms are clean. Furnishings are dated, but adequate. This motel is pet friendly and there is plenty of room to walk your dog in the area. Owner very friendly. Pets alowed on beach (I didn't take mine there because he is not pet... More

I'm not certain why anybody would visit the UP and not get a lake or bridge view. I read previous reviews so chose room on the end. We had #9 which is definitely the more outdated of the 4 end rooms, but fabulous view none the less. Room worked for 1 night and I loved the affordability, quick walk out... More

This is a small, quaint, old fashioned motel. It is 60's or 70's era. The 2 things that I liked about this place are the most important to me. Cleanliness and cost. The place was very clean. The towels and bedding smelled so fresh. The cost to stay here is very reasonable for what you get during peak season. Bonus's:... More

We stopped there for one night on our way home from the Porcupine Mountains. Room rate was very reasonable. Room was nothing fancy and a bit outdated, but overall very comfortable. Shower was small, but water pressure was great. Room done in knotty pine, so it had that 'cabin' feel. Bed was comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the... More

We stayed there for two night and I can't believe how much of a hidden gem this place is. The rooms are clean, the staff treats everyone like family, beautiful view of crystal clear water and free fire wood. Whenever I come to the UP I will be staying here!

If you're looking for luxury, the Bayview is not your best choice. However, its positive aspects make it comfortable, fun and definitely economical. We booked a room by phone three weeks out for a 3-day stay in the second week of June and were surprised to find the Bayview very sparsely populated. We hadn’t realized that peak season in northern... More

We stayed at this hotel overnight, the staff was very friendly and the area beautiful. If you are looking for an affordable room, and a pet friendly location it is a great stop. Not many hotels in St. Ignace will allow pets - and it is appreciated that this one does! Be aware that the bathroom/shower is quite small. The... More
