I have stayed here twice. Fantastic towels, nice owners. Most elegant in St Ignace and most economical. It is close to the casino. If you come with children they will light an evening fire and provide them with all they need for Som'mores.

My cousin, Brenda, stays here every time she comes to St. Ignace, if a room is available, so my friend, Tamara, and I tried it out. Tim, we didn't get to meet Kathy, was very nice and very insistent that if we had any drinks at the casino, we were to promise to call him to come and give us... More

Tim and Kathy are loving hosts. The rooms are spotless and have a up-north feeling. Smores at the bon-fire every night and breakfast in morning. Easy on-easy off I-75. Very close to casino. We had an unforgetable time.

The price is right, very clean and friendly. Rooms are small, but the evening bonfires with s'mores and other guests make up for it. The owners were extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. A pleasant start to our vacation.

Back to the Future. Much like a trek down Route 66, The Cedars motel brings instant memories of the family's overnight trips your parents or grandparents created during the pre-interstate era. This type of lodging is not for everyone. The rooms are small, clean, comfortable and the decor is retro but the price is right, even if your wallet can... More

When I made the reservation and was told the price, I was a little skeptical about what we would find. The owners are some of the friendliest people we met on this trip, The room was adorable. Clean, comfortable with an electric fake fireplace that threw no heat. We sat in the two easy chairs in front of the fireplace... More

The owners are very nice helpful folks. I knew we had come to the right place when I spotted two pairs of reading glasses by the register. (Men's and women's!). We like to stay away from the chain motels as much as possible and the cedars is a great alternative. The room was very clean and everything was in good... More

We were looking for a clean, and quiet place to stay before taking the ferry over the the island in the morning. The motel was just that. It was dated with the decor but that was also part of its charm. Many of the bathroom fixtures were original as was the tiled shower stall with shower head. The room rate... More

Nice clean rooms and nice friendly owners who will go out of there way to insure you have a great stay! Close to the Casino & right off the highway. The shower pressure was awesome! I will be staying here anytime I pass through.

We stayed here on August 1st 2014 and found the Owners to be very friendly & accommodating. The room was clean, the bedding was clean, the towels were new and fluffy. The room had beautiful knotting pine wall, fireplace, frig, micro, newer tub & toilet. Very nice for the money!
