This was the worst experience of my entire life! We had dinner reservations for 8 people at 6:30 to celebrate my Mothers 85th birthday. Four of us traveled from Tampa Fl and the rest were local. I guess I should have been worried from the start when on a Friday evening there were only two cars in the entire parking... more

I was mortified when we arrived in town to the Montague Inn. The downtown area of Saginaw where the Inn is located is completely run down, very poor, and seems completely unsafe. Not a nice historic place at all. I will be honest and say that the inn is located a short distance away from what looks like the project... more

Dear Guest: I am very disappointed that you posted this review and you felt that way about our property. We are in a historic grove district on Lake Linton in Saginaw, surrounding the children zoo, Japanese tea garden, Ojibway Island and the Veteran memorial park, not far from the Temple Theatre, Dow event center and the Castle Museum. Our guests...

My husband and I had a coupon from this inn so we arrived to find the parking lot with two big trucks blocking all spaces and others who parked however they felt. We found a place and walked thorugh the front door. There was no one at the desk! We waited a bit before someone came and acted as if... more

My wife and I have stayed at the Montague Inn on several occasions over the past year, most recently on March 6th and 7th, 2009. We have always enjoyed our stay at the Inn, and found the staff to be helpful. Naomi and John are dedicated to providing the guests with first rate service. The rooms are lovely and well... more

We did not stay at property, although we have done so many times in the past years. It was always a special, anticipated trip. We came for dinner before a concert at Dow Event Center. As we came up the walkway of this stately home, we were both saddened by the general feeling that it was being let go. Shutters... more

My husband and I don't get to spend much time together, because he travels quite a bit for work, so we cherish time together on weekends and like to travel to Bed and Breakfasts/Inns around the state. When we mentioned the Montague Inn, my parents raved about the times that they stayed there in the past. Well, the Montague is... more

The Montaue Inn was an excellent place to stay as I was working on genealogical research. Located on 8 acres of beautiful land, I could see the lake out of my Rust Room Window and Ojibway Island behind that. I was one mile from the Hoyt Library in one direction and one mile from the court house in the other.... more

Romance was in the air from the moment we entered the Montague Inn of Saginaw! As we entered the Robert room and discovered the champagne on ice and rose petals gracefully covering the floor and bed, my husband was delighted to see that the Inn respected his wishes for attention to detail. The dozen red roses he ordered were placed... more

We stayed at the Montague Inn several times off and on during the summer and fall of 2007 under terrible circumstances, my 83 year old mother was dying of cancer. The thought of staying at a hotel was difficut but I found this was not just a "hotel", it was oddly soothing and made the ordeal a little easier. First... more
