This is a quaint old inn. tI needs some sprucing up and a thorough cleaning. The pillow cases were dirty on our bed and they came up and changed them, the towels in the bath were stained and they brought us new ones, but left the stained ones. The floors could have used a sweeping in the bath as well.... More

This B&B needs serious updating and is not worth the money. The decor is very poorly done, the mattress was the worst I have ever slept on, the breakfast was like something you would expect at a Holiday Inn Express not a B&B. There was a girl that worked behind the desk who was VERY indifferent to the needs and... More

We knew this was an old inn, but were not prepared for the shabbiness It is a property well past its prime. The bedding is worn and stained, the bathrooms out of date, the staircase, listing. Bedside reading lights poor; no unused outlets in the room for phones or iPads; WIFI on again/off again. The buffet breakfast was awful. In... More

We purchased a Groupon for The Terrace Inn, Bay View Association, Petoskey, and made a reservation for Memorial Weekend 2014. We arrived and checked into our room – queen bed, street view – shortly after the 4pm check-in time. A $5.00 deposit was required to obtain a room key (and $5.00 for every key thereafter). The service we received at... More

The hotel's situated in a lovely location in a historic (Methodist) community a stone's throw from Lake Michigan. Beautiful houses in the location. This hotel is nice but old. Too old to have very good upkeep, so it is a bit creaky and dusty. And pretty noisy with the din of the guests walking up and down the staircase being... More

Nice clean place. Opened in 1911 and they are still using the same furniture. Seriously, very dated, on purpose. After climbing to 3rd floor with luggage in hand we discovered the TV did not work. Went back to the lobby to report the problem. No way to call. We were told nobody was staying next door so we could watch... More

We spent two nights here and loved it. The place was very clean and wonderfully decorated. It was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was good. The dining room wasn't opened yet for dinner for the season so I can't speak to that. It's very historic and beautiful.

Stayed at this beautiful Inn recently. Gorgeous rooms, clean and inviting. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing! Would be a great venue for weddings, reunions or just a romantic get-away. Love the big fire place in the lobby. Dining room is sensational. Out side porch is comfortable and has beautiful views. Will be frequent guest here when in... More
