I went up to Petoskey for a business meeting and stayed at the Stafford's Perry for two nights. Was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was, the service was good and the downtown location was very nice. Only complaint would be the walls seemed a litlle thin. more

Stafford's Perry was fun. Please understand - THIS IS A HISTORIC HOTEL. That means it's OLD. They've done a fine job maintaining and updating it, but it's a historic hotel. Please don't whine that it isn't a brand new Westin. It isn't. My room was a nice size. Wallpaper is intentionally old school. Bathroom was very nicely updated. Lobby was... more

50 characters isn't enough for this wonderful hotel. The location, a block from the shops and dining of main street, sitting up on a hill overlooking the bay, is perfect. The rooms are pretty and well appointed. The staff is the high point - they are unfailingly friendly. It's clear the management encourages attention to detail: repainting a column, which... more

We chose this hotel as a place to spend our anniversary. It was very clean. We had an Arlington room, which is more of a suite than a room. The bathroom was very tiny. The balcony and view was wonderful, but a little cold due to it still being early spring. The decor is very Victorian floral, in keeping with... more

Beautiful charming building, great staff, in a great location overlooking Lake Michigan. The Noggin Room pub is a really nice place to have a drink, very relaxed, with simple food and good beers on tap. Service was great. Room nicely furnished, with breathtaking views over the Lake. Superb breakfast. The hotel seemed to me very clean, nicely furnished, and good... more

This is very difficult for me to write, being a champion of all Michigan has to offer. I am not even sure where to begin… Our stay was for just one night and we were busy visiting relatives before we began noticing the many problems. The bedding was old and grungy looking; sheets had a very strong odor...perhaps from detergent??... more

A great deal of the hotel is breathtakingly charming. Our room was not as clean as it should have been. Bathroom was not clean. Around the faucett handles were absolutely grungy. Yes, I realize the water may have minerals in it, however there are cleaners out there for that. I know that because I have to use those cleaners. The... more

My husband and I stayed one night at the Perry hotel to attend a Wedding at "The Cross in the Woods" on 6/7/08. We stayed at the Perry b/c the wedding reception was there. The front staff were extremely accommendating. Check-in was at 3pm, but the wedding started at 1pm. Since we had been on the rode for about 4... more

I stayed here as part of a timeshare presentation at Bluegreen resorts. You can't beat the 2 nights hotel and lift tickets for a painless 90 minutes of reading the newspaper. On to the hotel. It was very nice. The big disappointment was the hottub was closed during our entire stay and the front desk was clueless to when it... more

The Perry is an old-fashioned hotel with old-fashioned charm. The front desk staff was fine and check-in went smoothly. Our room was fine with a beautiful four-poster bed. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom amenities were a cut above average. There is TV and internet access. Since the bar had a loud band (well-attended) we went to the lobby... more
