Had to run up to the Petoskey area this weekend. I really enjoyed staying at the Perry Hotel. It reminded me a lot of the old hotels I stay at often in Europe. My room had a cool view of the frozen lake. I met some friends for dinner at the Noggin Room. I am not sure who was playing... More

This is a charming old hotel with beautiful views of the water, a fine Sunday brunch , good entertainment, quaint but comfortable rooms, and within walking distance of most Petoskey points of interest. Be sure to go to the City Grille,. and check out Hemingway's favorite spot in the bar ( second seat from the left). This is a great... More

the Perry is beautiful and situated downtown within walking distance to the Petoskey shops and restaurants. Bed was very comfortable. The staff is very helpful. 20 min drive to Boyne to ski. Breakfast in dining room with a view of lake.

Nice old hotel perfectly located near Petoskey's wonderful downtown and near Little Traverse Bay. Cute, little room and comfortable bed. Quaint lobby and library for quiet reading time. Friendly staff. Great dinner and entertainment at the Noggin (basement) and good breakfasts in the Rose Room (first floor), along with a beautiful view. Only negatives: no thermostat in the room so... More

We spent Thanksgiving night at the Perry Hotel and had a great time. We have stayed in this historic hotel many times over several decades and we continue to return. The proximity to the downtown area of Petoskey is a definite plus. Our son works at a nearby restaurant, and our grandson is only several blocks away so we don't... More

We recently visited the stafford perry for our annual shopping get away with our boating friends and had another very pleasant expierence. Staff were very friendly and helpful. the rooms are very nicely decorated in a victorian style, the hotel itself has been there for awhile, however it is well maintained and everything is clean and rooms well serviced. the... This is a historic hotel, and it seems as though as much as they try to emulate the Grand Hotel, they will never measure up. For as much as you pay for a night here, I expected more. For one, you do not get to control the heating in the room, and it was cold most of the time we... More

Dear Hoppiefrog, Thank you for being a guest at our hotel and for reviewing your experience on trip advisor. I apologize that your visit was disappointing. In reviewing our use of the term "spacious" to describe our Parkhouse category guest rooms I am inclined to agree with your assessment. I have directed our web master to make the appropriate change.... More

We got hit with a heavy rain while staying at Petoskey State Park so went searching for a place to dry out. We were fortunate to find room at the inn. It's a lovely historical hotel close to all the restaurants and shops. The room was small but comfortable and we were able to get warm and had a great... More

Best location in town and the main reason we booked this hotel. Shopping and restaurants are 5 minutes away. Our room was a bit underwhelming and looked at the roof top air conditioning units. While we were given the room we booked, there didn’t seem to be many people in the hotel so a room with a better view would... More

If you prefer to stay somewhere that is unique and full of character and history relating to the area where you are staying (and you should), you will really enjoy this hotel. We had a business meeting here, so we met here, ate here, played here and of course, stayed here. Excellent! In walking distance of the charming downtown Petoskey,... More
