This is a period piece; it relishes in the small things that make you comfortable. The service is superb, very attentive. The view toward the bay is very nice but I don't think any of the rooms have a full on view of the water. It is not beach side, but backs up to lovely green space which I think... More

One of our favorite places to stay in Petoskey, Michigan is Stafford's Bay View Inn. I believe the Inn was built in the late 1800 hundreds. The rooms are from the Victorian era and no room is alike. There are no phones or televisions in the rooms. There is a library with books and games and yes, a television. Off... More

I have stayed at Bay View for over ten years now and I can say that my wife and I have found it to be a great place to relax and unwind. The rooms are cozy and charming. If you are looking for a typical hotel room then, this will be a little different. They do not have TV, but... More

We spent 1 night here recently and had a terrific experience. If you enjoy staying in old fashioned, historical places, this is for you! The Bay View Inn combines the charm of a small town establishment with the luxury you would expect in the city. We had a Cherry Blossom suite, which included a room with a queen bed and... More

Not generally a type of place I would normally book, but it's one of my parent's favourite places and we stayed here for 4 days for my mom's 80th birthday. The rooms were very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful although we had some food issues (stale biscuits for the appetizer, rolls were so/so with hard butter but Sunday... More

My daughter and I chose to spend New Year's eve day shopping in Petoskey's Gaslight district enjoying the quaint shops and while entering the parking lot at Stafford's were greeted by a pair of draft horses and sled as the snow was falling. What a lovely introduction to a warm and cozy inn. The quaint rooms were reflective of the... More

Stayed here for a long weekend over Memorial Day. Views and the sunsets over Little Traverse Bay were amazing. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the food was excellent. The building itself has great character, dating from 1886. Wandering around the Bay View gingerbread cottages was fascinating ( http://www.bayviewassociation.org/history-27/). Sunday brunch was exceptional.

This property is one of our favorites in Petoskey, MI. It's charm and peaceful setting ensure a comfortable experience. The home-made cookies in our room and the Sunday brunch are beyond delicious! Staff hospitality is exceptional and the rooms are decorated tastefully. We also enjoyed the quiet air conditioning in our room that was very easy to operate and accommodate... More

This inn is on the Bay View Association property so visitors have access to the amenities offered by the association. The decor of the inn is chintz and wicker. It is a lovely location for weddings, parties and families wanting to enjoy the outdoors. In summer season the music and educational programs draw many people to the area. If you... More

Staying in this beautiful Inn was the highlight of our trip to Niagara Falls for our 20th wedding anniversary. The hospitality is top notch, the accommodations clean and inviting, and breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. We so enjoyed sitting in the second floor library drinking tea and soda and watching our favorite hockey game.
