A lovely house ,a lovely town. However,our room was dirty,Ceiling fan covered with a huge coating of filth,hair in our bathtub,and the dirtiest cups on the bathroom sink that we have ever seen. Enjoying our wine on the lovely patio we got to hear the owners screaming at one other from seperate rooms,every evening.Apparently,this is how they converse with eachother.... more

I'm not sure what other people are expecting on a vacation but I love to step out of my daily life and relax with many reminders of the comforts from my childhood. The Candlewyck House was wonderful..The owners are warm & friendly, very knowledgeable about the area....& very helpful. The breakfasts were outstanding...& the snacks were yummy....Bikes are available for guests to use...& many books & movies area available as well...We definitely would stay again. more

10 reasons to avoid this B&B: 1. Mattresses old and saggy. 2. Coffee just awful 3. Dining room makes you feel like a sardine 4. No refreshments upon arrival. 5.
