This hotel is unusual only in the sense that it is like a chain hotel in a land of mom and pop motels and up north lodges. The room was large and clean, the beds comfortable, everything like you'd expect from an average chain motel. The room was non-smoking but had just a trace air of previous smokers. The shower... Front desk staff was very friendly. Gave us the aaa rate and called the pizza place down the road for us to make sure we could get delivery before they closed. Room was clean and typical for an older motel. No frills but quiet. We were traveling with no reservations and were pleased with the service. Coffee juice and donuts... More

There aren't many places to stay, or eat in Paradise. The hotel was OK, at best. The desk staff were not helpful and often absent. There is an ice machine you have to pay to use, and even then rarely worked. The room was good size, bed had a cheap mattress, and the whole place felt less than clean. The... More

Average room that is way overpriced at $69. Large room with one uncomfortable lounge chair. Wall covering is peeling from people leaning too far back in the chair. Mattress is soft. Bathroom looks remodeled but has low pressure from shower head. Continental breakfast consists of coffee, juice, and doughnuts. Staff at front desk is very unfriendly. The town of Paradise... More

Our basic two queen sized bed room was clean. The continental breakfast consists of doughnuts, coffee, and juice. There is a charge for ice. This motel is very close to the beach, only 15-20 minutes away from Taquomenon Falls State Park which is a Michigan Upper Peninsula MUST SEE! Basic, adequate motel.

Can't complain, it was average and over priced for the age of the hotel. But it was in the middle of the woods in the upper peninsula. The desk clerk directed us to a good local restaurant where I could enjoy my smoked and fried whitefish. We wanted to go to the Shipwreck Museum and Paradise had the nearest hotels.

We really enjoyed our stay at Paradise. The inn has a lot of charm, the service is very good and the quality of the food in the dining room is excellent. The rooms themselves are a bit small. We stayed in the annexe and there really wasn't much space to walk around the bed which was pushed against the wall anyway.... More

I went to motel because all other had no vacancies. Motel is still not updated since like mid seventies. Rooms are semi OK but there is some cigarette smell - probably because there are ash trays right outside so some smoke sips in. Breakfast is horrible. Bad donuts and coffee. I noticed that there is not many places online that... More

Hotel is clean. They have cable TV now but not many channels. Beds are OK. Breakfast is skimpy. First place I've seen that charges for ice. (Strange considering its the UP of Michigan!) Good location at the main corner in Paradise. 11 miles to Whitefish Point and about the same to Tahquamenon Falls. Bar/restaurant across the street, other businesses within... More
