All and all we enjoyed our stay at the Crews Quarters. Our room was really, really small with a full size bed. We were aware that this was going to be a smaller room than the rest, but the size was still a bit of a surprise for us. The bathroom was large and there was a nice sized closet.... More

My wife and I stayed one night last weekend and loved it. We arrived too late to visit the site but we made up for it the next morning. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was like a bed and breakfast but with your own bathroom. We found out the next morning that the crews quarters are haunted but... More

The novelty of staying here was what got us to make the reservation but it really was much more fun than that. The room & bathroom were really clean. Nicely furnished. Wifi & direct TV are always nice - especially after tenting it for 2 days. But it was really nice to have all the time you wanted to explore!... More

My parents, husband and I really loved being at the crew quarters. My only regret....not having longer to stay the next morning and that it was raining when we left. There is so much to see here. Plan on at least half a day to see the museum, buildings, lighthouse and beach. if you are a rock hound, this is... More

My husband and I spotted the USCG Crew Quarters when we visited the museum last summer. We vowed to come back and stay - glad we did. The best part about the stay was (for my husband) being able to watch and monitor the 'salties' and 'lakers' coming around the point. At night, it's sooo relaxing to hear the ships'... More

I booked an overnight stay just a few days in advance. This is a nice spot -- very clean and quiet. Facility is nicely restored. View from the beach is stunning. View from the B&B itself may vary -- I was upstairs in room #4 and although the lake is visible when standing at the window and looking above the... More

Wonderfully clean, big bathroom. Gorgeous common room and library. We stayed in the Surfman room on the second floor with a view of the woods/partial Lake Superior. Nice and quiet, right on the lake...loved the Shipwreck Museum as well. Foghorn was going part of the time, and we saw ships and a bald eagle. Unfortunately this year the mosquitoes are... More

Beautiful home and we had the opportunity of having the entire quarters to ourselves. Great view of Lake superior and ships passing and of course awesome view of lighthouse at night. All staff were exceptional. And our stay was soon comfortable. So much history to see and read about. It's a must do and must stay.

What a great way to support conservation. Tasteful renovation with comfort in mind: large bedrooms, firm beds, private baths, and great TV and wi-fi service. You can socialize as much or as little as you wish. Nice library of books and and DVDs, spacious sitting room and large "cold" selection of breakfast foods. Only downside-quite a distance to any restaurants... More

Keep in mind that you need to check in before 6:00pm. We were cutting it close so we skipped stopping for dinner. Unfortunately, since it was so early in the season, the local Paradise restaurants were not open. So after checking in we headed back the 15-20 miles to Tahquamenon Falls lodge and a wonderful whitefish dinner with freshly brewed... More
