Our family stayed in a king suite for one night. The hotel is located in the tiny city of Silver City and is a good base for exploring the Porcupine Mountains. The hotel is on the shore of Lake Superior and offers nice views of the lake. Many of the guests explored the beach, read books on the driftwood, or... more

This is one of the only places to stay in Silver City. Staff is very nice, rooms are clean, very close to Porcupine Mountains. Beautiful view of the lake. Restaurant is good for continental breakfast. more

We stayed here for a weekend getway while hiking in the Porcupine Mountains. The hotel is located right on Lake Superior and was very convienient to the park. The rooms were nice. We had a lake front room and it was very nice. The continential breakfast was nice and there was plenty of room to sit. There is also an... more

Great base-camp for touring the Porkies. Very nice location right on Superior. It is one of only a few motels in the area so rooms fill quickly., make reservations. Overall the room was adequate as was the continental breakfast. For $99 though rooms should be in top shape and clean which is not what we encountered. Wall paper was peeling... more

We (2 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 dog) for 3 nights, total. First night was prior to backpack trip into Porkies. Two more nights when backpacking trip was over. We found the property to be clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, courteous and customer-oriented. The room was sound-proofed well and we were very glad to find that the... more

We stayed here for 2 nights late May 2008 (post Memorial Day) and found it a nice place to stay at an okay price for where we were and the length of stay. The hotel itself is nothing fancy---just a normal Midwest chain motel--but clean, with a friendly staff, a well- maintained pool (long enough to swim laps!) and hot-tub.... more

We stayed here two nights and found the room to be clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The best part of our stay was the Friday night Fish Buffet. It was absolutely excellent! We'd go back just for that! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. more

This hotel is about two minutes from the beautiful Porcupine Mountains, and is right on the beach. Take a look at the photos I posted which were taken right behind the hotel. (One thing- In most spots, the water is rocky, so caution should be used when swimming.) The room was clean and comfortable. The pool, sauna, and hot tub... more

Just returned from a 3 night stay. This is a wonderful hotel set directly on the shore of Lake Superior and just a mile from the entrance to the Porcupine Mountains. The rooms were your typical chain hotel room but very clean and had a great shower. The lobby and hallways were updated and clean. The pool area is large.... more
