I absolutely LOVE the Old Mill Pond Inn!! David is wonderfully accommodating, his food is incredible. The grounds are gorgeous, David has worked endlessly to make the gardens bright, fun and inspiring. He made us a wonderful bonfire and told us where we were most likely to see shooting stars. I have stayed at the Inn twice and definitely plan to... More

Plesantly surprised by the renovations that had taken place! The beautiful home has been updated with some of the modern day pleasantries and includes much southern charm. We had the opportunity to meet and chat with the owners who are very much involved with the renovation and services the home offers. The facility staff is also excellent! Breakfast was knock... More

I think this B&B may be changing its name, but by any name, we loved it! The new owner was on site the first night and the next day her excellent local help took care of us. We had a really good night's sleep in a room at the 2nd floor rear, Fox Hunt themed. Cozy, very comfy topping on... More

While Northport, Michigan is cute and well worth a visit, stay clear of Old Mill Pond Inn. New owners took over in October but I suspect are not paying close attention to service. We were to told by a nice young man when we got there that he did not know much but could lead us to our room. He... More

Leelanau Peninsula is beautiful! We stayed at the newly renovated (new owners) Old Mill Pond B&B in Northport. It was centrally located to Suttons Bay and Leland. Breakfast was homemade and delicious, with local cherries. The interior rooms are beautifully decorated - and I can't wait to see the owner's plans come to fruition for the outside! It will be... I made my reservation based on the recommendation of a tour operator I was planning a bicycle tour around the Leelenau Peninsula. It wasn't until the night before my stay there that I read the previous reviews. I was quite scared. Upon arrival I noticed that most of the "art" mentioned in the previous reviews was removed from the property.... More

This is an old house packed with not just antiques but tons of knick-knacks and oddities that won't appeal to some people - like the religious theme of the shared bathroom. The service was fine - nothing over the top. Because of the age of the house, our room had an old, musty smell to it. Some reviewers obviously found... More

After reading the other reviews I was hesitant to make a reservation. I hate mystery stories and this place sounded macabre. Well, I am glad we went. David is a gracious host and does a gourmet presentation with his breakfast of an omelet, English muffin, fresh fruit, and coffee. The place is for sale, and David has a consignment shop... More

My son took his girlfriend here for their anniversary and when he came back, he said "Mom, you have to stay there. It's so you." And he was right. My husband and I just stayed there for our anniversary and I was taken with the place. Some people want cookie-cutter lodging so they know what they are getting, and I... More

The owner of the Old Mill Pond is David Croback, an artist who has lived there for 25 years and has run his B&B for about that long too. He also caters food and organises all sorts of events in the area. As I travelled around visiting various farms and wineries, I would mention his name and people’s faces would... More
