This is hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I made the reservations online; had I seen this place in person prior, I would NEVER have brought my son there. The building is run down and poorly maintained, the room and hallway smelled terrible, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, there was mold and burn marks in... more

Poor Desk Customer Service, Rude desk personnel. Pillows are like rags, bed mattress had no support and would roll you to the center of bed. Lack of towels. Rooms not cleaned properly. Walpaper peeling off wall and moldy substance on ceiling. more

I booked a 4 night stay on line. When I arrived at the hotel and saw how dirty and run down it was I said I wanted to cancel. They receptionist showed me a printout of what was supposed to be my on line booking that said if I cancelled I would lose my deposit and the deposit was 100%... more

There was mold growing on the peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. The carpet was dirty. There were holes in the bedspread and blankets. The sink was stained with "something". There were two cheap thin towels and two wash clothes for our use. No blower dryer. Not a well cared-for place. If it hadn't been for the Holiday Inn up the... more

The Niles Inn is about 20 minutes from Notre Dame's campus. Since every hotel jacks up prices on football weekends, we usually stay there. The bathrooms are old and the towels are thin. Not much soap or shampoo. Lumpy bed with ripped sheets. Thin blankets and carpet. TV works fine - gets cable. Walk to grocery store next door for... more

We were in town for a wedding in South Bend, which is a few miles away across the Indiana border. This place was disgusting. Damp carpet, cigarette smell in a non-smoking room, cracked toilet, dirty bathroom, no elevator, no hairdryer/iron in room, I could go on and on. We were in town for two nights - we checked out after... more

Stayed here for the National MX races in Red Bud. Needs updating. Price too high for what you are getting. Pool is so-so, bar is never open. A place to sleep, and that is about it. more

We had little choice to stay here because it was for a Notre Dame football game and all of the other hotels in the area were booked. We paid a very cheap rate for the room, and now I know why. The lobby was clean and well-maintained, but that was about all that was clean and well-maintaind in this place.... more
