The location was well out of town and off our route but we chose it becuase we needed access to wifi for personal business. The campground was nicely placed in wooded area and the sites were adequate. We were unsuccessful in accessing the wifi. After a reset they told us the wifi should work well by the office. The connection... More

Thank you for your post about our park!! We too have OCCASIONAL difficulty with wifi access and we are the owners, so we know it can be an issue with certain circumstances; weather will affect it as well as how many guests are on at the same time. It is important to our business for US to be able to... More

I stayed in the cozy cabins for two nights mid September. A friend and I wanted to kayak the two hearted river and prep for an organized outing for MAC next year. The cabins were above my expectation. They will built well and joints caulked to keep out insects, not to mention very clean. There were plenty of linens and... More

We made our 3rd trip to Northcountry Campground this last week. As always the owners are helpful and concerned with your stay. The campground is laid out in a circle with the bathhouse in the middle. There are limited full hookup sites but plenty with water/electric or just electric. Some sites, if your trailer is like ours and has a... More

Thank you for coming back to stay with us and thank you for writing a very helpful review! Many times when a guest writes a review they don't think to include some of the amenities on site, so we appreciate that you took the time to do that. AND we appreciate that you tell others about us and your stay... More

Very quiet and relaxing campground. There were probably 20 camper units or so. The sites were flat, wide and plenty deep enough. I have a 38' fifth wheel and parked without any problems. This is a family campground. There were many family's here as well as retired campers. The one biggest thing I saw was how clean the buildings were.... More

Donald, first, we want to thank you for staying with us! It sure WAS a quiet Labor Day weekend; we did not expect it to be that quiet, but there were a lot of people who changed their plans due to the nasty weather that was predicted. Even when we are busy, we do our best to keep it quiet... More

We stayed in a small cabin for 2 nights. It was super clean, I mean spotless! All necessary amenities included, bathroom, shower, beds, bedding, table, kitchen area. They provided a fire pit as well as a gas grill. It was such a nice alternative to a hotel. Perfect location for visiting many attractions, Oswald Bear Ranch, the falls, the shipwreck... More

Spent one night here on our way to Pictured Rocks National Shoreline. Did a quick search on the web to find a campground in the area. Called the campground and the lady was very accommodating and left us information on our campsite. We found it quite easy. All sites are pull through. It is a simple circular campground and has... Terry, thank you for taking the time to post. We agree that the bathhouse is an older one, but we feel the important thing is that it is kept clean. So many ratings that we receive (including being able to become a Good Sam Park) are based on cleanliness so we strive to keep things clean and in working order.... More

My husband and I stayed here in one of the cozy cabins. Everything is very well kept. The park was extremely busy during our stay so we did not have a lot of time to interact with the owners but they made us feel welcome and said they hoped we would return again. It is a very peaceful, beautiful setting... More

I've stayed at NorthCountry Campgrounds and Cabins on several occasions and would return again. It's a short and easy drive to many attractions. I appreciated that the owners enforce quiet time, having been to many other campgrounds that were too noisy to allow rest. I also appreciate the owner's efforts to maintain clean facilities. It's unfortunate that many campers seem... More

If you are wanting more than a quiet place to park your rig to do some sight seeing, this is probably not the campgrounds for you. There were no activities planned through out or 5 day stay... you have to leave a deposit to even check out horse shoes or volley ball and it's stated that deposit ONLY returned if... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our park. I would like to point out that no place in our advertising does it include planned activities. Ours is the type of park where people come to relax and take in the sites (since we are centrally located to the Eastern U.P. attractions, there is plenty to do in the... More

Reasonable price, owners were nice but not overly-friendly, the shower heads did not adjust so it was really hard to shower small children and the water was lukewarm, definitely not hot. The laundry facility was nice and came in handy. Overall, would stay again. Location good for visiting area attractions in the eastern part of the peninsula

Thank you for taking the time to write your review! We do hope that you will return again and apologize if the water felt lukewarm in the showers in the bathhouse. Due to Health Code regulations, we are not supposed to have the water temp over 102 degrees. The reason that the shower heads cannot be turned is because too... More
