Every year my BFF and I go to a new place for a spa weekend. We booked the Lighthouse cottage for second weekend in April of 2014 and what a delightful place! With 2 bedrooms and 2 big bathrooms (with steam showers), livingroom (very cozy and comfortable), kitchen, reading porch and private hot tub (outside) ~ what more could 2... More

We stayed at the inn for three nights recently and we were disappointed. I will list some pros and cons to help people with their decision. Pros: Greeted by friendly staff We stayed in the Galien room which is spacious and has a full kitchen We had a small deck area with outside seating Newer looking Jacuzzi tub in room... More

Thank you for your comments. We are not onsite 24 hours a day but do live a few blocks away and always are available to our guests 24 hours a day. Our office is open daily. We would be glad to take care of "small things". Please feel free to let us know your needs and we will respond immediately... More

New Buffalo Inn and Spa, Evergreen Cottage. 231 East Buffalo Street, New Buffalo, MI 49117 www.newbuffaloinn.com (269) 469-1000 My wife and I and our little dog stayed in the Evergreen cottage ....Maybe it was the weather. It rained 2 of 4 days there; maybe the tiny 20" TV placed above the fireplace so it was difficult to view properly. Or... More

Thank you for your input, we manage but do not own the Evergreen Cottage. We will review your changes with the owner of the property and make changes based on your suggestions. The TV is relatively small but limited by the space allowed with the fireplace, we do have other cottages with larger televisions. We have placed new pots and... More

Three of us decided to do a last minute friend's trip and the spa was able to accommodate all three of us at the same time with the services we each wanted. I had the tranquility package with European facial ($16 add-on) with Lisa, mud bath (instead of lunch) but otherwise includes aromatherapy bath and a 1 hour massage with... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend for Labor Day Weekend and it was absolutely charming. We were in the Goodrich Room which had a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub next to a large room with a small kitchenette. Although we were out and about exploring quite a bit we did enjoy the time we stayed in the room and... More

Our room was small with only 1 chair. The toilet did not work properly. I notified management and they said they would take care of it. It was still not fixed when we left 2 days later. The shower was inside the jacuzzi tub. It was very difficult to climb into. This would not work for someone with bad knees... More

The Eber Knight room is smaller than all of our rooms and is not conducive to more sitting spaces. We have 4 rooms that are spacious with living rooms and kitchens if you require more space. This room is actually one of our most popular, as you can lay in bed and enjoy the fireplace and TV. The toilet tank... More

I've divided this review into two parts. The hotel and the spa as they were separate experiences. Hotel review: My wife & I went there for a 3 night getaway. We stayed there because we wanted a place with a full kitchen so we could eat breakfast & lunch there. I'm vegan so when we go on vacation especially to... More

We stayed in the Snug Harbor room recently. The inn is just ok. The grounds are nothing special, and the rooms are dated. There is no elevator for the 2nd floor, which was not an issue for us, but could be for some. In the bedroom the vent on the ceiling blows right on your head. An air deflector could... More

Thank you for your input, we have placed an air deflector above the bed register as suggested. Our building was built in the 1950's so we had to work with the existing architecture which did not allow for an elevator to the two rooms upstairs. We also have 4 ground level rooms for those who have difficulty navigating stairs. We... More

We have stayed at this inn numerous times. Lisa and her staff are very accommodating. The property is very convenient to downtown and the beach. A lot of places advertise 2-person hot tubs, but all they are is a bigger bathtub. All of the tubs will fit 2 adults comfortably. We plan to return many times.

We are so happy to have you back with us! The Bain Ultra tub is our largest tub and has heated back rests and air is injected into the water thru tiny air holes in the bottom of the tub. It is definitely the Ultimate Experience! Looking forward to having you with us again....and again.... and again! More

Hubby and I have stayed in a few B&B type places. This is by far the best! Location is minutes away from the shore and many restaurants. Whirlpool tub easily accommodates two. Staff is friendly and happily attends to anything you need. Great stay!
