A pleasant stay. After the summer rush. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was quiet, bed was comfortable. Landscaping attractive. View from my room was Marina. Could hear sounds of train easily-I was in a room on opposite side of train station. Had an hour massage, which was ok. May find more experienced massage people in the local spa(s). Room... More

I thought this hotel was delightful in a lot of way - plus side is location!! Close to the main street with shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are very nice and the pool area is lovely with the indoor pool and hottub that opens up to a lovely deck with lounge chairs and tables. The view of the marina... More

The problem here is that Southwest Michigan has very few (if any) excellent hotels/ resorts. If you want a nice hotel (better than Hampton Inn or other chain), you have very few choices. Supply/demand determines the hotel rate and $384/night (gulp!) was what they charged us. Needing a destination for my husband's 40th birthday and having few choices, we picked... More

This was the 4th summer our family has stayed at the Harbor Grand for our last week of summer. The moment we stepped in the door, and we were greeted with an arousing, Welcome Back. The hotel is kept up and we notice all the updates from year to year. They aim to please each and every guest, and my wife... More

Our family stayed at the Harbor Grand for a mid-week beach getaway. It was a great location in town. Short drive or walk to everything. The in-room breakfast was a nice change of pace. We stayed on the 1st floor and it was o.k., but the shower had some mold in it. Also, the fold out bed was extremely uncomfortable... More

Lovely hotel on the harbor. We had a room with a view of Lake Michigan which was beautiful. We had dinner at the restaurant which was very nice. The staff was extremely accommodating. We are going back in November.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our anniversary weekend. We did not have off from work and decided to take a short trip. It was a great weekend! New Buffalo is such a sweet, relaxing, lake side little place! Charming downtown and this hotel was a great place to stay. We made our decision based on other... More

The Harbor Grand is the best of all possible worlds. It is located at the north edge of the New Buffalo business district, within walking distance of Lake Michigan and the public beach (and two marinas for the sailors out there). It has been renovated so that the suites provide as much square footage as any chain hotel - my... More

This small hotel in New Buffalo, MI is delightful for a weekend or longer stay. The staff is the friendliest and most helpful I've ever met. The room comes with a complimentary breakfast basket delivered to your room at whatever time you choose. There is a restaurant on the property as well as an indoor pool with outdoor sun deck... More

We enjoyed our stay and breakfast. It started with a room mix-up that took a while to straighten out. The TVs are old and rooms showing wear and tear. The rooms we ended up with was nicer than the first, and the front desk sent wonderful chocolate and handwritten apology regarding the mix-up. A pile driver was banging on the... More
