The photos that show the walls in the shower say it all. When I told the owner she acted surprised. Like this kind of mold apears over night? Like the original stone walls but they show that they are not good for wet areas like a shower. Advise: put tiles on the walls.

I booked a room by emailing the owner the day before. She replied saying a room was available. She did not tell me it was not in the main chateau, so it was a surprise to be shown to a small and very basic conversion in an outbuilding. Nonetheless, this would have been acceptable had it been cleaned before our... More

We wanted to have our wedding ceremony here as it is idyllic but had a terrible experience in dealing with the owner. They were keen to take our deposit but then heard nothing after that. No replies to emails or phone calls and the times we visited france before the wedding only the cleaners were present. We had our wedding... More

Wonderful location, and very welcoming hosts. We loved the room (and also the owner's cats and dog!). We were very comfortable, and loved the décor. Breakfast was typically French, served in the beautiful orangery. The only thing missing was a bowl for the cereal - we had to ask. The grounds are idyllic. We would definitely stay there again.

This hotel has a very pretty location, set amidst extensive grounds with fountains and streams and flowers, and our room, with high ceilings and many windows, was large and comfortable. However, it is a shame that the owners appear to have no interest in pleasing their guests. We arrived at this B&B on a Sunday afternoon with a reservation, and... More

We rented the studio with kitchen for a week. It was a nice place to stay in a very beautiful environment, but upon our arrival the room wasn't really clean. The room wasn't dusted and the sheets did not smell fresh at all, although the owner assured me the room had been cleaned. The kitchen sink was rusty, and the... More

My husband and I spent 5 nights at Chateau Mouillepied. It is an ideal location if you enjoy the countryside and is in reasonnable distance (preferably by car) to the sea and cities such as Saintes, Cognac, La Rochelle. The bedrooms are comfortable, clean and of good dimensions. The breakfast room is superb and the morning buffet offered a very... More
