We visited the Chateau de Sully in June of this year and booked the 'last room' for 3 nights. I was disappointed that we were not accommodated in the Chateau, but in a room in the Manoir (annexe). The room was very nice and the bathroom nice, although the toilet was in a separate room off the hallway. There was... More

Having recently enjoyed a trip to France touring and staying in a variety of hotels from 2 to 4 star, we arranged to stay at Chateau du Sully in Normandy ( as recommended by Hotels and Preference" & Chateaus and Hotels Collection). We telephoned to make a reservation on the Sunday evening for two nights on the Monday and Tuesday... More

My family and I recently spent 3 days at Chateau de Sully. It was a wonderful, beautiful Hotel in a relaxing setting located just 1 mile outside of Bayeux. The front desk staff were very accommodating, especially when we forgot the combination for our room safe! The rooms are beautiful, and most of them have wonderful views. The bathrooms, recently... We enjoyed the grounds under a full moon in June. Lovely environment and main entry is stunning. The rooms are comfortable but not extravagant. The bathrooms as recently renovated. Service at the front desk was pleasant and efficient and they helped me navigate my way to Paris during a train strike. Wait staff a little less accommodating.

The hotel makes a grand impression--a handsome small chateau off the road from Bayeux to Port de Bessin with a beautiful allee of fine old trees and a small, separate annex. The service is rather minimal, however, if you arrive during the day--one person at the reception desk who also has to help with luggage and rooms. Our two rooms... More

Small Château hotel with gastronomic restaurant that tries to cater to vegetarians. This was part of the reason for choosing this hotel, as it is not always easy to find good food in France if you refrain from eating meat and fish. The food at the restaurant is good without being outstanding, but the menu is limited. Staff at the... More

We visited Chateau de Sully in August and found a warm welcome, gracious service and a very comfortable two bedroom duplex suite with a large living room downstairs and two bedrooms/two bathrooms which was perfect for our family of four. The location was very convenient for touring the D-day beaches. Our teenage boys really enjoyed the indoor pool and my... More

This is a wonderful hotel at which to arrive after a long motor trip. The first view of the chateau is up the long, straight drive and the building itself looks magnificent. There are several beautifully restored outbuildings and the garden at the rear is a very pleasant place to relax. The staff are friendly and the rooms are very... More

Everything that you see about this venue lived up to my first impressions, great location for touring Northern Normandy, phenomenal setting, historic and beautiful. But.....and sadly there were 2 buts, in 3 nights in a stylish feeling and pricey restaurant they never once changed the menu for dinner, not even a dish of the day. The fish of the day... More

Our stay at Chateau de Sully was memorable. We booked directly with the owner and were quoted an all inclusive rate. Meaning everything, except taxes. The Chateau has a well deserved starred restaurant and all of our meals were included in the rate. After touring all day, we were happy to return to the Chateau for a gourmet meal. Our... More
