This is a beautiful property with much history. The staff is wonderful and will get you whatever you need. It is a spa hotel and everything is on the pricey side. If you love fine dining, you won't be disappointed. Dinner was excellent and the service superb. Just be aware going in that you will be paying a premium price... More

This is a lovely, elegant, historic, and very up-scale small hotel in the countryside just outside Bayeaux. We had pre-paid reservations for two nights, but when we arrived we were not sure the front desk diva was going to give us a room. She was on the telephone for a good five minutes, taking very good care not to make... More

We came here thinking great place to stay over 4 days. Service is the worst we have had anywhere. The ambience is depressing and hotel lacks any training of its staff. Food is very pricey and over rated. Found better in the town. It is very Noisey as sits on a road that has heavy traffic all night long. Bring... More

Last stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and again booked superior rooms on the first floor. The bedrooms and bathroom are delightful looking over the front drive. No complaints, reception was good and yes, you do carry your own luggage to your room but this hotel is like visiting a country house and being a part of it. The... More

Just beautiful, the grounds and the accommodations. Had breakfast and one dinner their...excellent food but service extremely slow. Waited 30 minutes after being seated before we saw our waiter. Need more help for sure in the restaurant. Pillows were marginal at best. All in all we would return.

The room in this hotel was nicely appointed and the service was fine from a bar perspective. The greeting and baggage service (of which there was none) was appalling. Admittedly, we arrived 5 hours before check-in after an overnight flight from the U.S. and a 3 hour drive to Normandy. The desk clerk who met us made it clear that... More

We stayed overnight here while on a long weekend with another couple, who have stayed here twice before. Not only was the reception warm and the room lovely, but even the approach to the hotel through the grounds was beautiful. The room was of good size and well appointed with fluffy robes, reasonably good wi-fi and a very comfortable bed.... More

We spent one night at the Chateau and while our room was ordinary it was clean and quiet; we were in the annex and not the main building. The grounds are very nice and well maintained. The location is fantastic for the D-Day beaches and site seeing in Bayeaux. The on site restaurant is fantastic; definitely worth staying at the... More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2014

Spent a very good 2 nights (and had 2 diners) there as a family of 4 with 2 kids. Originally, we were not very happy to be "upgraded" from our chosen junior suite in the main building to the bigger suite in the annex, but: - the room was way bigger, spread over 2 floors with a bedroom for the... From the iron gate, then along the road through manicured lawn to the carved door of the Chateau you can just feel what it was like in the 1700's. The Chateau, grounds, gardens and public rooms were all as expected-Regal. The included breakfast was sumptuous and guests can request meat and egg dishes not on the buffet so ask politely... More
