If someone says “hotel” we understand that they may mean something quite basic where you can stay for £50 a night, or they may mean something really top end where you could add a couple of noughts to that. However when we talk about B&B I think of chintzy cottages and keen but sometimes amateurish hosts. But I need to... More

We had a great 3 days at Chateau La Cour and it was everything that we expected. One down side was the 70% charge that was added to our bill for our dinner cancellation on the night of our arrival which I might add was due to our flight being delayed by 3.5 hours plus not being able to find... It was good to read that you enjoyed your stay at Chateau La Cour and that it lived up to your expectations. However, we feel we must address your grievance………. We are a small (3 bedroom) privately – owned chateau that offers a very personal and individual service. This includes offering hosted dinners to our bed and breakfast guests by... More

Chateau La Cour is a lovely place in Swiss Normandie. It is a very old house that was restored to have a very pleasant and comfortable rooms for the guests. The hosts, who speak English, are growing most of the vegetables by their own, including fresh eggs from their free hens. The vegetable is superb an it is, maybe, the... More

We spent 4 nights in the B&B rooms, with 3 generations of one family, ages ranging from 6 to 80! The Chatuea is situated in the most amazing countryside, so peaceful. A beautiful drive to the easily accessible, Bayeaux and Landing Beaches. The Chateau itself is a beautiful building in immaculate grounds, The cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms is... More

Having had a mixed experience last year elsewhere we were determined to "get it right" this time- chateau la cour "gets it right" in every way. We cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough. The hosts are so thoughtful and welcoming that it feels like a home from home. Whatever the weather this is a lovely place to stay and makes... More

The hosts give you a warm welcome and cook you an excellent breakfast which sets you up for the day. It is certainly worth having the romantic dinners as you will be wined and dined and you will feel very spoilt. The food quality is excellent in period decor as it is a chateau and feels very grand. This is... More

At Chateau La Cour you are welcomed like old friends and nothing is too much trouble for the hosts, David and Lesley. They are both charming and Lesley is a superbly accomplished cook, the flavour and presentation were as good as any restaurant. Most of the vegetables and fruit were from the garden and the eggs were from their own... More

We stayed in the apartment of Chateau La Cour - lovely quality from the rooms and the views to the excellence of the furnishings and equipment ( not forgetting the welcome pack of food partly sourced from the pottager).
