We booked as a package through Brittany Ferries for a three night stay. On arrival we were greeted with 'Ah, you are with Brittany Ferries, you have a small room booked!' However, the room was perfectly adequate on the second story. The bathroom was clean and the shower was powerful and had plentiful hot water. The continental breakfast included was... more

This is a beautiful place. The food is excellent. It is fair value. The rooms are large in the newer inn - the Manoir de Mathan - but we missed having a place to gather with our friends for a glass of wine. The six of us travelling together had dinner there on two of the four nights - and... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night in order to visit Arromanches and beaches. The reception was very friendly and welcoming but we found the waiters at dinner cold and unwelcoming. We arrived for dinner at 7.30 and were kept waiting to be seated even though the restaurant was empty. The food was excellent. This is... more

I recently stayed at this hotel with a friend and we had a lovely stay - lovely food, good choices and friendly service. Despite small rooms they were excellently furnished and clean. The location in a village means that it is very quiet however still very close to the landing beaches, Bayeux and other attractions. I would definately return! more

Our group of 6 were very impressed with our stay. The rooms were spacious, except for one and nicely decorated The meals were some of the best we had in France . Excellent choices and there was always a special appetizer and entree of the day at dinner. The choices at breakfast were just as numerous and delicious. We never... more

Having read some of the reviews on here after I had booked through Brittany Ferries I was filled with trepidation. Completely unfounded as it turned out, the hotel is set in beautiful countryside, with excellent access to the Normandy Beaches, Bayeux and indeed the ferry port at Ouistreham. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and where necessary more... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to catching the ferry back to England. We had just spent two weeks travelling the length of France on a motorbike and had booked this as a treat for some luxury on our last night. The hotel looked as good as advertised and is relatively easy to find, although quite isolated.... more

The buildings and grounds of this historic Norman farm turned hotel are well worth staying there. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed in January and, by all accounts, we missed some great food. The hotel is well-located in the quiet countryside, but very close to the D-Day beaches and Bayeux. more

A restored farm on the edge of the village of Crepon, with well- landscaped grounds...Our room was very clean and rustically decorated, with a good view of the countryside. The bath was well-appointed, with separate sink and WC. We did the demi-pension, and were very pleased with dinner. The food was great, and the service very friendly and professional. Breakfast... more

My wife and I were absolutely enamoured with the Fere. Beautiful country location and very friendly staff. Our room--a suite in the main building on the third floor--was fabulous. Antique appointments with a modern, but charming bathroom. We completely enjoyed our dinner experience with friendly and attentive wait staff. Excellent, reasonably priced wine selection. We can't wait to get back.... more
