We stayed here one night on our way through the region having crossed to Cherbourg earlier in the day. A lovely traditional old manor setting. Quiet and peaceful. With good internet. Food is not served here but in the main hotel 600m away. (A nice walk on a summers evening). The food served is EXCELLENT! Beautifully presented and innovative yet... More

My wife and I stayed at Le Manoir de Mathan in May of 2014. We wanted to book a room at Ferme de la Ranconniere but we were told there was only room at La Manoir. Pros: the room was well appointed, quiet, light tight and large (by any standards). Cons: no shower only a bathtub, isolated, tepidly offered breakfasts,... More

We had a large room which was just a pleasure to walk around in! We both slept like logs - the best sleep in 2 1/2 weeks. Breakfast is excellent. It's too bad that we have to drive to the main hotel for dinner though. The half-board option is good value -- includes dinner which is top class.

I stayed at this B&B in Crepon during a travel agent FAM trip. There were 16 well-seasoned and picky agents on this trip! When we drove up and were given the keys to our rooms, we each ran to ours and then ran out and got each other to see our respective rooms. We ended up spending about 1.5 hours... More

Stayed 4 nights in this lovely hotel. Our suite was clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed The staff were friendly and helpful and dinner in the main hotel was excellent. However the breakfast was poor, limited in choice, poor quality ingredients, no hot food of any kind and coffee from a machine. Spoilt an otherwise excellent experience.

Since Le Manoir de Mathan is a former castle, it's an old fascinating building and a very nice place to stay. Rooms are very big and have two different bathrooms - one with the toilet. Beds are big and confortable. Cleanliness is very good but not perfect. The garden is very nice. The location is fabulous because, though the hotel... More

Spent 2 nights here in June, wished we could have stayed longer. Our room was one of the suites. Great amenities and lots of room. Also vey close to Bayeux and the Normandy beaches. The staff was very attentive and informative about things to do and places to see. .

From a travel site we saw just a few pictures of this wonderful property and decided to stay for an overnight while in Normandy. We could have spent much longer! The staff is commendable in their attentiveness. The room was stunning - especially compared to what we'd grown used to in Paris. Well appointed and grand - exposed beams and... More

When you find it, you will enjoy a hotel with modern facilities, furnished with some antiques, in a completely renovated farm setting. Note there are no animals in residence, but the neighbors certainly have some. The rooms we has we're superior grade, and were more like a mini suite. The breakfast was not included, a surprise at these rates, but... More

A farm, turned into a hotel. Chickens and cows in the back, and total peace, dark and silence at night. Just 4 miles from the Normandy beaches, and a 10km drive to Bayeux, this is the ultimate romantic getaway hotel. Our room was 10x15m, furnished wonderfully, and very restful. The restaurant at the main hotel, about 600m away, should not... More
