Mme Bizat runs a very comfortable and excellent value hotel. Well placed in the heart of the Dordogne, close to beautiful villages and sights, and near the facilities of St Cere. M. Bizat's restaurant stands out in a part of France with many excellent restaurants - we found the fixed menu excellent - all the best ingredients from the local... More

Stayed here for two nights on a recommendation. Delightful hotel in a verdant setting. A real mixture of contemporary and traditional French style. Very comfortable rooms and excellent bathrooms. The real gems of the hotel, however, are Florence, her staff and the Michelin starred Chef who produces the most magnificent food. Food that makes you smile. Absolutely delicious, beautifully presented... More

Who would expect to find such an exquisite restaurant in a remote rural area. Frankly, this was our first time in a Michelin ranked restaurant so we did not know what to expect except for a very good food. This restaurant topped all possible expectations. Unpretentious though clever and accurate food, making the best from local raw materials. And did... More

Another nice French hotel with a clean, functional room. The pool is located about 300 m from the hotel so take your sandels an say hi to the donkeys. Service was good. The best part of this stay was dinner at the restaurant where a great meal was served. The breakfast was also good consisting of various baked goods, jams,... More

We stayed here without prior booking on the recommendation of a local person. The welcome on arrival was perfect and we were offered a lovely room looking out at the front of the hotel with a balcony. The seven course dinner was excellent and the service perfect! Thank you.

Our family stayed here for one night (2 teenage girls), and we were very happy we did. The owners gave us such a warm welcome, and we felt they really cared about our comfort. The dinner was absolutely amazing from start to finish, with impeccable service. The location is very convenient for many sites nearby. We recommend it highly.

We did not stay at the hotel, we went there specially for dinner but the hotel looks really nice, the place should be amazing in the summer. If you go to have lunch/dinner, just go for the tasting menu and open your senses...

We first visited this superb hotel in 2005. The proprietors have maintained their high standards and the staff are all very professional. The meal was sumptuous and exciting. Despite the damp autumn weather the hotel was warm and inviting.

My husband, myself and the in-laws visited this restaurant to celebrate the husbands birthday. I can only say we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding. I didn't think it was overly priced for a Michelin star restaurant. The grounds that the restaurant/hotel were set in were beautiful and the staff were friendly and polite.
