Had heard from friends what a beautiful village Najac is, so asked for an overnight stay for my birthday, en route to our holiday destination near Albi. Landed in Rodez and were in Najac in approx. 1hour 40 mins. First impression was of an attractive main street, each side featuring a variety of quaint roofing. A stroll later on revealed... More

We received a very warm welcome on arrival and a pleasant surprise to see the room size we were allocated. It had a double and single bed with desk and chairs with a fantastic valley view . The bathroom is very large by French hotel standards and has the best hot shower we have experienced all trip. The easiest decision... More

Decided to pay more for a room with a enclosed loggia which gave us a very nice sitting area and view of the opposite hillside and hotel vegetable garden. It was worth the extra as we like to relax before going down for our evening meal. The food is the real high point of this hotel. We were only going... More

We had wanted to have a look round the Aveyron for some time so we booked L'Oustal Del Barry for 3 nights. We received a warm welcome and shown to our room (24). It was bigger than the majority of French rooms with a double bed, 2 huge armchairs a desk and a couple of dining type chairs. In addition... More

We had a beautiful lunch here. The village was quiet as the tourist season hadn't really started but the restaurant was full - just managed to get the last table at Friday lunchtime so it would be a good idea to book if you want to be sure of a table. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We chose... More

I try to go to this restaurant every time I visit Aveyron and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, delicious and imaginatively presented. The menu isn't extensive but it is still hard to select what to have as it all sounds wonderful. A set three course menu is a real bargain at 22 euros. If you are passing... More

We were exploring the beautiful village of Najac and decided to pop into this hotel restaurant as recommended by the English owners of a gite an hour's drive away. When we arrived on a sunny afternoon, half of the tables at the restaurant terrace were already occupied, particularly those with the lovely view of the valley. Nevertheless we were quickly... More

Had a great meal here and a nice stay. The dinner was much more than I expected from a village restaurant. In addition the room was clean and neat and the view of the valley and castle from my balcony was well worth the price.

This place and this hotel were by a mile the best we found in our 17 day holiday. Do not miss this little village and you must stay and eat at this hotel, the best 21 euro we spent anywhere. My one regret is that we were not there for another night, I never rate hotels at 10/10 but this... More
