Lovely quaint hotel in the most amazing position in the delightful square in Najac. The food was fantastic. I've tried to find the recipe for the lamb dish I ate here and haven't managed it yet. I'm guessing it was an innovative recipe by the chef. The room we had had views over the valley and watching the distant trains... More

This hotel is in a superb location. The village is charming and we had a stunning view from our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was superb. The downside is that the rooms, though clean and adequately comfortable, are in need of updating. The first room we were shown was very dark and did not... More

We chose this hotel as the food was highly recommended by friends. We just stayed the one night and the dinner did not disappoint. We ate from the set menu (32 euros for 3 courses + coffee): everything was beautifully presented and utterly delicious. My partner is a picky eater but was delighted by his soupe de poissons, navarin of... More

Had to change from fly infested Room 21 to small double - no sign of a price reduction. Upstairs the hotel is in need of renovation - the false ceiling on second floor is falling apart. In contrast the restaurant serves good quality food, albeit a little pretentious. Waitresses must be sick of food on flat slates which are impossible... More

Sir, Thank you for this review. For the problem to your arrival, and strong and unpleasant, my assistant apologized and you changed rooms immediately. Najac, is a small town close to the countryside ... For service, the slates are hard to carry but the job is changing with changes in presentation of material ... fads ... but I understand that... The hotel is set in a beautiful village which was lovely to explore. The hotel was very comfortable with friendly staff but what makes it really stand out is the food which was excellent we really enjoyed our dinner in lovely surroundings served by a very helpful waitress I would recommend dining at this hotel if you are staying nearby

I have stayed in the past and found it very comfortable in a shabby chic way but I write to talk about the food. Najac is a beautiful historic French village with an ancient castle. We were a family of 7 and ate al fresco. The welcome was warm and the service very good. The menus were varied and interesting and... More

Had heard from friends what a beautiful village Najac is, so asked for an overnight stay for my birthday, en route to our holiday destination near Albi. Landed in Rodez and were in Najac in approx. 1hour 40 mins. First impression was of an attractive main street, each side featuring a variety of quaint roofing. A stroll later on revealed... More

We received a very warm welcome on arrival and a pleasant surprise to see the room size we were allocated. It had a double and single bed with desk and chairs with a fantastic valley view . The bathroom is very large by French hotel standards and has the best hot shower we have experienced all trip. The easiest decision... More

Decided to pay more for a room with a enclosed loggia which gave us a very nice sitting area and view of the opposite hillside and hotel vegetable garden. It was worth the extra as we like to relax before going down for our evening meal. The food is the real high point of this hotel. We were only going... More

We had wanted to have a look round the Aveyron for some time so we booked L'Oustal Del Barry for 3 nights. We received a warm welcome and shown to our room (24). It was bigger than the majority of French rooms with a double bed, 2 huge armchairs a desk and a couple of dining type chairs. In addition... More
