I was here for the Lot Music week as well and enjoyed it very much. Eva and Bernard (and their son Sam) looked after us so well, and without fuss. The food was excellent, classic French cuisine, but they also accommodated the vegetarians amongst us. The buildings have real character. I didn't stay here (there wasn't room) but those who... More

We were also on the Lot music week at Le Vert. The setting was perfect and Eva and Bernard couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent food for every meal eaten on the lovely terrace most days. The rooms were large and comfortably and a good sized pool to swim in. The setting is quiet and relaxing. Highly recommended for a... More

I spent a week on the Lot piano course, where we all ate both lunch and dinner at Le Vert, every day. The food was fresh, local, and beautifully prepared. Eva and Bernard were excellent hosts. I would highly recommend a stay at this hostellerie.

Spent a wonderful week at Le Vert with Lot Music. Eva and Bernard Philippe were charming and helpful. The house is a large traditional stone farmhouse, with a comfortable dining room and an attractive partly-covered terrace. Rooms are large and well appointed and the corner rooms have some fascinating roof carpentry visible. Swam every day in the good sized pool.... More

The best hotel in the Lot run by the famille Philippe. Beautiful rooms in a wonderful tranquil setting. Superb food with very imaginative menus which change according to the season and the availability of fresh locally sourced organic produce.

lovely house that has been converted into a hotel with large, very well appointed quiet rooms. the lobby had a bit of an unpleasant smell but the rest of the hotel was most pleasing. dinner was wonderful. the menu was small but what we ate was well prepared, very tasty and the best meal we had in our few days... We chose Le Vert on recommandation. This is a small hotel in a lovely old stone building full of character and nicely modernised. We started with drinks outdoors watching the sunset. Great Kir with a refreshing amuse bouche of watermelon balls in liquor. As we had also eaten lunch we decided on two courses for dinner. All three of us... More

Quiet, excellent food, great room, good service. We last came in 1995 and had good memories - these were further enhanced by our recent visit. No 'winding the handle' here but a constant improvement with particular attention to the cuisine. Don't miss this one - it is one of the best in a great area of France.
