We stayed here in the Troglodite rooms, away from the main house and built into the side of the garden, magical! We arrived at dusk with our three children and were able to pull up right outside our little apartment which was very helpful. It was our first taste of real France after our long journey from Calais, it was... More

We recently spent 4 days exploring the Loire Valley and stayed at the Domaine des Bidaudieres for the duration. Mme Sylvie could not have been more friendly or helpful to us. We were a family, including granny and a dog, but nothing was too much trouble for her or her colleagues. This is not an ultra modern flashy chain hotel;... More

It's a very charming property and the hostess was really nice. We felt very welcome, got some tips about local restaurants and places to stay on our route. The chateau is not in the center of the Vouvray, but it takes only 4-5 min to get there by car. Breakfast was in a classic French style: coffee/tea, pastries, butter, jam... More

We were returning to the UK from the Dordogne, and had decided to stay overnight around Tours, and I had booked a stay at des Bidaudieres, having found the accommodation on booking.com. After booking, the proprietor phoned to say the room we had booked was not actually available, and offered us La Lezardiere - which appeared on the website to... More

We arrived as 3 couples with 3 cars on a Sunday having chosen this chambre d'hote as it offers secure parking between Tours and Amboise, has character and is reasonably priced. We'd read on Trip Advisor that the hostess is happy to accommodate picnickers and we knew that shops and restaurants are often closed on Sundays so we had bought... More

On the route of the castles spent here 3 nights. Lovely place, 10 min from tours and perfect spot for wandering around this region. Pool is open unfortunately only from May while breakfast is delicious and well served. Situated in a huge park.

We stayed here for 3 nights, in the Gardeners Cottage. This was a self contained chalet on the estate away from the main building. It had 2 bedrooms (one double and two singles) and a separate bathroom upstairs then a toilet, kitchen and living room downstairs. Quite clean, loads of charm and character, but it is in the country so... More

We went to stay at Domaine des Bidaudieres in early October. Upon arrival we had a warm welcome from our lovely host, Sylvie. She showed us to our rooms, as it wasn't fully booked she gave us a choice of the available rooms. After unpacking, Sylvie, laid on some welcome coffees and biscuits and we chatted about restaurants etc. We... More

Beautifully situated estate with a outdoor pool and picturesque garden. If you want to stay in a pittoresque and classically French style hotel in the countryside but still close to Vouvray town this is a good choice. Friendly staff, maybe lacking English a bit. Be aware of extreme taxi prices if you want to go to e.g. Tours!

Stayed here for 3 nights earlier this week - what a lovely place. Comfortable room, tastefully decorated, clean and spacious. No restaurant or bar but owner allowed us to chill wine in their fridge and even provided a bottle of their own free of charge. Beautiful buildings and grounds. Quiet location, although you can walk to Vouvray in about 45... More
