Excellent value for money as it is possible to stay in a wonderful 15th century chateau in the heart of the loire valley for 135 euros per night. Good base for visiting all the local chateau and vineyards, more

I'm always surprised at some of the reviews I see for great places I've stayed. I couldn't have been more pleased with my 4 nights at Chateau de Jallanges, from the room, to the staff, owner, food, and surroundings. I guess travel is what you make of it. European travel is always much different than staying at a Hilton in... more

The Chateau De Jallanges is a charming chateau in a good location in the Loire Valley. I found the hostess to be very sweet and accommodating. She even made arrangements to have a massage therapist visit on site to accomodate our schedule. Breakfast was always fresh and plentiful and the other guests interesting. (I still correspond with a couple I... more

My 11-year-old son and I stayed in several places for a couple of nights each while touring the Loire Valley and Normandy. This was the worst of them all. The building is beautiful, the grounds very nice and the pool a huge plus. These are outweighed by the unfriendly and uninvolved hosts and staff, the surprise expensive and nightly charge... more

We arrived with some trepidation after seeing a couple of negative reports on Trip Advisor but as we had been recommended by our best friends, we were prepared to reserve judgement. How glad we are that we did! We were greeted by a charming lady speaking perfect English. Helene, whisked us through the formalities of checking in and showed us... more

I have been meaning to put a review on Trip Advisor since our last visit in October 07 but was prompted by the imminence of next visit which takes place at the end of March 08 - An endorsement in itself! Frankly I was a bit surprised at some of the comments from other travellers We received a very warm... more

Lovely Loire Chateau! We had wonderful stay in this lovely family owned chateau. We were made most welcome by the, (English speaking! )lady. The chateau is full of history and all the rooms have their own style. It is an excellent base to explore the Loire Valley. Although it was winter when we were there last we are returning in... more

My husband and I stayed at the Chateau de Jallanges because it was recommended in the DK travel guide. The small expensive room (145 euros) was incredibly musty and moldy, and the desk had a layer of dust on it. The floor was dirty. The roll pillow on the bed was a dirty yellow color and looked like it had... more

We asked them for an extra bed in our room as my sister was there and it took them till the next... more

What a beautiful place to stay! Stephen and Marion were wonderful hosts. The breakfast room is so beautiful, you want to take pictures. Oh... and the food was great. The location was good for wine tasting and chateau hopping. There is a lot to do and see just 10 minutes away. The chateau is close enough to civilization, but far... more
