We stayed here for three nights while exploring the Loire. The chateau is enchanting and has mostly been restored, you can see pictures of the process. We were in the Louis XIV room which has a cute little room in the interior with two single beds. My daughters slept in this room. The house and rooms are nicely decorated in... More

This is tangible chateau living. Brilliant for families to see as life would have been. And be served a breakfast like a king. Stephan the owner is so approachable and a man of passion that has poured his life and soul for 30 years into this projectNot overly precious could perhaps loose the fake flowers

We visited the chateau on the off chance and couldn't have been made more welcome. It is full of rustic charm and quirkiness, and the owner is extremely helpful, recommending us some fabulous places to visit nearby. Excellent on price, and unbeatable in atmosphere.

We stayed at the Chateau for a couple nights on our way to Paris and were quite disappointed. While it has great potential, they stay did not live up to it. The Chateau has plenty of character being built several hundred years ago, however, it looks like it was decorated from numerous garage sales. Too much clutter in our room... More

We arrived very late and walked into one of the chateaus famous wedding receptions. A very nice English lady greeted us, and showed us to a third floor room at the top of some narrow circular stairs. The room, while high up the stairs was primitive and rustic but was nice enough. If you choose this room. You'd better be... More

We have just returned from a month in France and were lucky enough to stay 5 nights at the beautiful Chateau de Jallanges near Vouvray in the Loire Valley. The Chateau met all our expectations, a most beautiful building, great rooms and facilities and wonderful breakfasts each morning, Our children really enjoyed exploring the grounds and meeting Cuddles the donkey.... We stayed at Chateau de Jallanges for 2 nights June 30 & July 1st 2014. I am surprised at some of the reviews I saw below. We were 2 couples and we rented 2 suites. They were absolutly beautiful, clean and even better than we hoped for. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of towels in the bathroom and... More

At the end of our 3 week holiday, we stayed at Chateaux de Jallanges. It was the highlight of our trip! The hotel is restored with its origins well kept, the many gardens are exceptionally beautiful and the location is truly peaceful with nature sounds at night and birds during the day. We have two girls, aged 10 & 11,... More

This was a great experience. The Chateau was lovely considering its age. The room was large, heating works, the shower/bath was large and lots of hot water. Bed was comfortable and the room was surprisingly quiet. The breakfast table was the nicest layout I have seen and plenty of choices. Most of all the owner and his staff were extremely... More
