We stayed here on our way back to UK from Spain good stop off point leaving us 4 hours to Calais very comfortable off street parking and very quiet no tea & coffee facilities, the restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast which are across the road in a separate building.

We did not stay here but were recommended to go and have a meal . It was worth the visit . The food was superb and presentation beautiful . The service a little slow but not worth complaining about . It was very busy so I guess booking ahead essential . If I was back in the area would certainly... More

We found this hotel on a rival site, the reviews were good so I booked. The hotel is not the cheapest that we have stayed at but did I feel offered good value. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, and yes it was at the top of the building, but no worse for that - and as my wife... More

Wow! The food here is exceptionally good. We have stayed twice and will visit again. The chef clearly cares about what is served, and the value is superb. We chose the 33euro menu, it was not the most expensive but we chose it because we liked the dishes offered. In addition to three excellent courses, we were served canapes, an... More

This hotel was a recommendation from a friend who has been staying here for years now, on our way from the channel to a house we rent in the Pyrenees. It was easy enough to find, although the parking was not obviously signed (although a nice older gent in chefs whites came out and ushered us into their parking after... More

We stopped here for one night on the last leg of our French holiday. It isn't cheap so it was a relative extravagance for us. Our room in the annexe was spacious and charming and the restaurant was fantastic. The food and service were excellent - a real treat and a great way to end our holiday.

Have recently stayed in this excellent hotel for the fourth time in the last two years. This is an excellent place to stay and never disappoints. The de luxe rooms are very spacious and well appointed with a large bathroom that has a bath and separate shower. The restaurant serves excellent and good value dishes and the wine list is... More

. Quite near the motorway and Tours, this is an excellent stop over on the way south if you arrive at Ouistreham-Caen with Brittany ferries. It's a Relais du Silence hotel, and was certainly quiet - there was double glazing in the modernised traditional building in which we slept, and also double doors from the landing. A very well fitted... More

My wife and I stayed here three nights as part of a touring holiday. What a wonderful experience.OK,the rooms could do with a sprucing up but they have everything you need and are spotlessly clean. The restaurant is very good with a good choice of menus.Fabulous cheese board. What sets La Mere Hamard apart from many other French hotels is the owners... More

This was the 3rd time we stayed here. Our 'superior' room wasn't in the separate 'annex' this time, but in the main building. T'was different, but every bit as good. This hotel is 'special' and I would recommend it, not only for the quality of the bedrooms, service and ambience, but also its food.
