I stayed here for 3 nights/4 days with my wife in June. I would highly recommend staying here - but know what you are signing up for: - The Ritz this is not. The rooms are rustic and traditional. We didn't want for anything but you're not bathing in luxury either. - If you are spending all day traveling and... More

Bonjour, I usually thank directly my guests thru a personal message when they take time to write a review in Tripadvisor. This time I want to thank you publicly for your review, because you tell exactly what my house can be for the visitors : the right place to have a rest, authenticity and not luxury, a touch of french... The location was good and the room was clean. On the negative side, the room was very small and musty. The common area was dark and dank. The grounds needed tending and the breakfast was skimpy and the same choices (which were few) every day. It also did not have a friendly feel about it.

Thank you for taking time for writing a review about your stay at the mill. The content of your review is a surprise for me, because you did not tell me anything about your disappointment when you were here. The mill is an old house, and we decided to respect the spirit of this building when renovating it : thick... More

Moulin du Fief Gentil was the perfect place to stay for a few nights during our long visit to France. Florence was very helpful from the time we reserved our stay until we pulled out of the driveway. She warmly greeted us, even though we were late getting in. She offered many suggestions on where to eat around both Blere... More

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and loved it. It is a beautiful former mill and farmhouse with about 5 acres of land with a beautiful pond with lots of fish and birds. Our hostess, Florence, has set up the backyard for her guests so that it is a wonderful place to picnic or just to have... More

An adorable, nicely remodeled, historic mill-turned-B&B. Owners M/M Heurtebise are delightful, conscientious, and Florence is an exceptional cook. Her advice on what to visit was perfect for the short time we had in the Loire valley.

On September 15th and 16th. 2014 we (two couples) stayed at this lovely inn. Our rooms were very clean, the sleep quality was superb and our hostess was wonderful. Ms. Heurtebiste provided an exceptional and genuine French dinner where we enjoyed conversing with her and getting acquainted with the other guests. This was first served outside by the lovely pond... More

My fiance and I spent three nights in July at this wonderful B&B. The owner was helpful by recommending restaurants (our two best meals during our 10-day stay in northern France were within a 10-minute drive of the B&B) and chateaus. As stated in many reviews, the house is actually an old mill that even has a waterfall in the... More

I chose this B&B when planning for our trip because it sounded so unique - an old mill. It was indeed! The dining room incorporated the mill in a way that provided a view of the waterfall during meals. The mill pond provided a restful spot for relaxing after our drive from Normandy the first afternoon and from sightseeing the... More

We stayed at this charming B&B three nights. The hostess Florence was quite welcoming and helpful as we explored the nearby castles. Breakfast was typical French and good quality. We had the pleasure of joining Florence and other guests for a home cooked dinner our first night. We appreciated that she sent an email just before our arrival to let... More

We booked this B&B on the recommendation of some friends and were pleased with our experience. The integration of the historic mill into the facility is remarkable. Our room was large and comfortable, breakfast typically "French", and Florence works hard at making you feel at home. As mentioned Blere is a perfect central location for exploring the Loire Valley Chateaux... More
