I was one of 5 cyclists who stayed at Le Cheval Blanc in September 2015. I have say the owners were fabulous, very accommodating. Breakfast was excellent, and, if choose to eat at the Hotel's Restaurant, the food and presentation was very good indeed. We had some special needs with the bikes, all sorted, no issues at all. Little tip, if... More

A truly fantastic stay. Such a warm welcome and and really comfy room. Parking was simple. The food was amazing! Each course was delicious, dessert spectacular!! We could't fault the hotel and staff at all. Central location was great. An exemplary hotel and very well worth a stay.

We wanted to enjoy the inside of a week revisiting the chateaux of the Loire, an area where we regularly spent holidays decades ago. We couldn't book the accommodation we wanted at Loches or Amboise and settled on Le Cheval Blanc at Bléré where we spent five nights "en demi pension". Finding Le Cheval Blanc and more particularly its private... More

When travelling on a business trip you can choose a standard hotel. Cold, whitout personal touch. In France, you also have "Logis de France". Most are owner run hotels whit a good kitchen and a friendly welcome. Whel, this is wat "Le cheval Blanc" stands for. A perfect room (5) in style with de region and a new bathroom, perfect... More

We were aiming for Amboise, but disappointingly found it teeming with trippers! Just a few miles further on is the delightful town of Blere, with the attraction of the Loire without the people! Le Cheval Blanc's reception was warm and welcoming, the room, overlooking the square, sumptuously furnished and welcomingly air-conditioned. The evening meal was memorable and we will certainly... We had an unfortunate incident with a flat tyre on one of our bikes while riding from Amboise to Chenonceau, and stopped for assistance at Le Cheval Blanc. The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us along on our journey - cannot thank them enough! It was a Sunday and we... More

Wonderful two night stay whilst cycling in the Loire. Immaculate comfortable room and bathroom. Beautiful pretty little court yard and welcoming reception. Alain and Claire were very helpful in assisting with a slight problem with our booking.com reservation and all sorted out with no fuss. Good storage for bikes and lovely swimming pool which was much appreciated in the hot... More

We stopped here for lunch a year ago and vowed to return. We had that opportunity to do so on a trip south. The hotel is very quiet, in a relaxing way, with clean comfortable rooms. Perhaps it had been the very long day getting here, but I slept very well. The real star feature is dinner. Indeed the whole... More

Went for a meal to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The meal was generally very good, although my wife's steak was very fatty. However, the atmosphere left a lot to be desired - we were one of 3 tables on a Sunday evening and there was a deadly silence that one felt embarrassed to break! There was no background music... We spent a delightful few days here and were given a very warm welcome by the owner, Alain, who was very helpful during our stay. This is a small hotel that has rebuilt its reputation after a previous owner let it slip, and the rooms are being progressively refurbished to high individual standards, so do check which suite or room...
