We booked for a single night, but enjoyed such a superb dinner that we promptly decided to stay an extra day in order to try the Menu Gourmand, which did not disappoint – the Hotel owner/Chef apparently did a couple of decades at the Ritz in Paris and it shows: Not only was each course cooked superbly and beautifully presented,... A small hotel, situated close the Loire river in the heart of wine country. Inviting terrace for drinks, or up market French dinner under tree canopy, looking down onto the Loire. Room was good and clean with a large terrace looking over the Loire. Bathroom well equipped, but shower not thermostatic so went hot and cold if others used water.... More

We found this hotel through European destinations. Although we read some of the bad reviews, we decided to take a chance since we were only going to stay for one night. When we were checking in, the lady at the front desk (whom we later found out is the chef's and owner's wife) would look at us and talk in... More

I expected more for the money. The room was small but the bed was amazing. The bath drain didn't work. The patio was fine, but not great. As owners they are completely disconnected. She sadly was coughing and very sick upon my arrival, and staff should have covered for her.. I found them on Booking.com. BUT the expense for food... More

We had a delicious lunch under shady trees on the banks of the Loire. The chef came our to chat to us about the local ingredients eg. Poached egg in mushroom and wine sauce - a Burgundy regional dish. Highly recommended.

The welcome, environment, atmosphere and of course the food, all contributed to a wonderful, relaxing few days. This unassumingly quiet little hotel noted for its food did not disappoint. The menus ranged in price but remained high quality on presentation and flavour. The wine list was a good mix of local, regional and international wines of quality and of of experience. This was... I booked this place and then panicked a bit when I saw some of the other reviews. No need. Our room was large and airy with a small balcony. It overlooked the lovely garden running about 200m down to the banks of the Loire. A really fantastic setting. Excellent dinner on the terrace. Prices reasonable, including the wine, and especially... More

The restaurant is ideally located near the highway exit which makes it an easy stop for lunch. Nice view of the Loire River. The food was very good and homemade but the service was very slow and quite inefficient which ruins a bit the experience.

I stay one night. The chef is a nice person and the owner but his wife is a freak!!!... We feel unwelcome by her. The room was very small. Balcony is ok but they need to add a wall or something between the balconies. I did not try the food. If you don't speak French avoid being here. The only... More

Located on the riverbanks of the Loire with a nice terrace with old trees which provide some cool shade. The rooms are comfortable with a private and spacious terrace. The people are nice and friendly and the chef presents you great food for a fare price! We eat out a lot all over France and this is a place we... More
