Charming, welcoming, elegant and relaxed sums it up for us. Set in a beautiful and quiet area, this was a fabulous first stop on a family adventure around France and it ticked all the boxes for our family of five. We took our hosts recommendations on evening dinning, and enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the chateau.

Our first thought, as we turned into the long driveway that led up the hill to the chateau, was that this place should probably be in a movie. But we're glad it hasn't been (not yet anyway), since it means we'll have the chance to come back. In other words, Chauteau de Villette is incredible. From the stunning grounds, to... More

I stayed 3 days at the Chateau with 8 other American guys who had come for wild boar, duck and upland bird hunting. We could not think of any way to improve upon the hospitality at the Chateau. The breakfasts were bountiful; the dinners were feasts that we could barely wait for; and my bed was the most comfortable bed... More

Catherine and Coen share their beautiful Chateau with open arms. The rooms are all different . Some have private baths while others have hall baths. When there you feel like you are visiting long lost relatives. The breakfasts are wonderful. They graciously offer breads, jams , fruits and eggs cooked to order. The group dinner which is offered twice weekly... More

For the second time we come to Chateau de Villette and stayed in the lovely cottage "La Grenouillere" this Easter. The Chateau is very beautiful and carefully restored to the old splendour and therefor still very comforting and authentic. It is situated in the charming rural landscape of Morvan which remindes of the English countryside with its blossoming hedges and... More

We stayed with frends four nights in September. It is tucked away but on large acerage that offers the experience of country life of centuries ago with all the comforts of a modern B&B. Bathrooms are large and well equipped, bedrooms warm and inviting. A number of small towns close by offer a selection of restaurents with dinner menues of... More

We stayed for three nights in June. It is a beautiful, stylish and classy family run small chateau in a rural setting with glorious views. If you are looking for a quintessential chateau experience on a small scale, with roses and lavender around the windows, pretty courtyards and great wine, this is the place. Be aware though, that it's an... More

Dear Tracy, Thank you for your lovely comments about our B&B. I'm sad to hear you felt like your visit was inconvenient for us as we did our best make your visit comfortable; It is true that we didn't expect you to arrive early that evening as you asked us to book a table at a very good restaurant that... Great family, clean rooms, beautiful surroundings which made an enjoyable relaxing stay. It is tucked away so perfect to relax and enjoy the French country side. A ten minute drive and you arrive in other larger towns which have amazing restaurants so no problems with dinner. Luzy, Autun and Thil will provide you with many choices for dinner and lunches.... We spent a wonderful weekend there. Very welcoming owners, beautiful castle with comfortable and clean rooms. The countryside is lovely and so is the wine! You can visit Beaunes, various wineyards. I highly recommend this place!
