We had a really magical stay here, the service was incredible as was the setting. Every meal we had here was delicious, there was true passion in the kitchen. I would recommend ensuring that you get a room with a view as ours was limited.

We are a group of classic car owners from Wales and we recently stayed at Manoir de Kerhuel, a chateau near Quimper. What a wonderful hotel and one which I could highly recommend.! The hotel is magnificent, set in its own grounds at the end of a stunning tree-lined drive. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and the food, simply out of this world. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would certainly return. The staff were without exception, friendly and supportive especially Carl and Celina. The reception staff were also very helpful during the period leading up to the stay, and made the arrangements stress free. Thanks all for an enjoyable stay.

We (family of four) unluckily decided to stay only one night and arrived much too late to enjoy the wide offer of the hotel. The location is absolutely wonderful, almost breathtaking. We couldn't have dinner in the hotel restaurant as it was already sold-out. Definitely worth a visit but suggested to stay longer then one day and to enjoy the hotel offer!

Unlike other commments, our experience was very positive. We had a huge suite with the latest of everything and a hot tub. The suite was very bright and looked out on three sides of the building. #18. It was an experience walking to the dining room but so what. In summer we would have gone around outside. The hotel was dead quiet at night. The staff were friendly and efficient. As to dining, the dinner was good but not above average. The breakfast buffet offered a great quantity of choices. We needed a guide and one was available. I would not come for the food alone but service was good. The kitchen is used to dealing with large groups. I would not book on the weekend as there is a wedding over 50 times a year. I would book a wedding but have no more daughters, thank God.

We stopped here on a recent road trip touring through Brittany and thank god it was only for one night. We arrived at the hotel at 9pm only to be welcomed to a soulless reception area which was half in the dark only to find a unmanned reception desk with a note on the reception with our name and door key saying that reception was now closed, and if we wanted any one we would need to find someone in the restaurant which we had to hunt around looking for and after going into the basement walking through a dark function room set for a wedding the next day, we finally found what resembled a restaurant bar and a waiter who thought it was hilarious we had trouble finding a member of staff. On entering our bedroom it was clear it was going to be a huge disappointment for what was supposed to be a superior double room in a 4 star hotel and at a push, could have probably scraped 3 stars. On awaking the next morning we found out the true state of the room which had been disguised by the dark the night prior. The wooden flooring was obviously fitted by Mr O’Reilly the builder and his men, the paintwork around the skirting and doors can only be described as scruffy and in desperate need of attention. The decorative mould around the bedroom windows was the highlight of our nights stay and it’s safe to say we won’t be back. What’s more of a shame is the location is perfect with beautiful views but the hotel has missed a perfect opportunity. I trust the pictures we’ve added to this review act as proof of our review and we’re just not a couple of fussy brits on our hols.

It was the last stay during our journey through Brittany and I was blended by the good grades this hotel got before. We arrived with our nearly adult children but were given one room at the one end of the hotel (ground level) and the other one at the other end (2nd floor). The room on the ground floor was dirty. Coffee was splashed over the heating; windows and door were full of dirt and insects by opening; mold in the window frames. I would not recommend this hotel. 4 stars and such a mess do not match. The young lady at the front desk was very kind and professional, but she was laughing about my complaints about the dirt.

Great House in the landscape, Great entrance, disappointing rooms for this wannabe 4 Star Hotel. We were given a disabled room (4) with view to the Parking Place and a terrible hot room below the roof (22) with no view at all with 2 small windows at 1,50 Meters high which spend neither view to the wonderful Garden, nor enough refreshing air at night. No refrigerator, no climate control. The most disappointing Service experience I have ever had in my travelling experience (See all my Trip advisor entries) was with the Lady boss at the Front desk: she was not willing to give me a different room not for this night nor the next or the last. (Completely booked) The refrigerators she placed on request were ridiculous. 3 nights 2 rooms booked in the Hotel Internet Page:937 € incl. Breakfeast. The Lady Boss at the front Desk stays repentant: no reduction for the worst rooms. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Dear Sir, Thank you for your feeling about your stay even if, as you know, you are of perfect bad faith concerning it. First of all because you did have the description of the rooms and accepted them when you have booked, secondly because as told you 5 times we were full and it was totally impossible to offer you other rooms, it was not a question of willing, but a question of availability. More over the disable room is a superior room, one of our biggest and fresher room, and the only differences with a "normal" room is that the Italian shower is bigger and that there are facilities for disabled persons that are at disposal. The view is not on the parking but on the park and the tennis court. It was an exceptional hot day, and as many hotels in Brittany there is no air climatized as it is usually useless in our region. As you know as well, we did make a great offer by asking you to pay only the first night you've stayed and not asking you to pay the full stay according to our CGU. I can not recommend you as guests. Best regards.

We went for dinner expecting a beautiful room in line with the old building. Sadly, the decor is incredibly stark and bland and out of sync with the old stone walls. The food was ok. Nice amuse bouche, gorgeous homemade bread, and the cannette main course was good without being outstanding. The artichoke starter, with a promising description, was a little boring. We chose a gorgeous wine, which helped a lot. The staff was friendly enough and the bill reasonable. All in all, though, we probably won't make it back until we hear better reviews and really hoping they review the decor...rugs, candles, white tablecloths would definitely be an improvement to start with. Best of luck!

Dear Mrs, Thank you for taking the time of giving us your opinion. We are sorry that our cooking is not up to your expectations. We have well considered your remarks on the decoration about the restaurant. We are working on it, mainly with new lights, but we won't come back to the white tablecloths as we change for more modern ones… We nevertheless hope to welcome you back to the restaurant. Best regards, The reception

Living fairly locally I decided to treat the other half to a night away here. On arrival we were escorted to our quirky accommodation in the old pigeon house. A lovely little circular building with bedroom upstairs with flat screen tv and wooden stairs down to a lovely spacious bathroom with stone circular bath tub. The restaurant was fab!! Glad we chose to sit inside as a torrential rain storm that soon arrived would of certainly drowned us. The serving couple were very attentive but not in your face which we appreciated and every course was explained to us. We decided to go off of the a la carte menu which in fact worked out cheaper for us than the 45€ menu. Each course was amazing! How do my vegetables at home not taste like this?? Nice choice of wines and the in house sparkling water was even nice. Breakfast: Again, really nice, great choice and nicely presented. Will we be back? Of course!! Need to try the Jacuzzi room next time if the hotel give us a good price ;-)
