After visiting Avranches a few days earlier during the day, we decided to go back for an evening meal. We were welcomed at la Croix d'Or restaurant in the hotel and asked very politely, if we had booked. We said we hadn't and was shown to a charming table overlooking the gardens. It was reasonably early and the restaurant wasn't... More

Needed a hotel inland from Cherbourg before heading south and this was a well rated Logis de France place. Usually by-pass Avranche, but thank goodness we didn't! The hotel is an old coaching inn with lots of atmosphere. We had a room in the beautiful secluded garden, still looking great in early September . The room was rather dark but... More

This was a third visit to enjoy the restaurant and second overnight stay. The hotel has basic rooms round a courtyard which is lovely considering the central location. A spacious room with large comfortable beds - in our case two singles pushed together to resemble a double. We will return again.

It's really pretty. Almost everyone else staying there were families and the elderly. It has old-fashioned rooms full of trinkets and a nice garden. The guy on the front desk is unfriendly but efficient. The food is amazing, I genuinely had trouble getting back to my room after eating so much. There isn't much to do in Avranches but it's... More

This hotel looks great and is overall good. If we had arrived earlier or booked in advance our preference would have been to book a room in the courtyard area and not the front of the hotel (we rented the last available room) simply because we heard traffic and people talking during the nighttime. The room was big and comfortable... More

We stayed for one night on our way home to Brittany. The hotel is an old coaching inn which has retained the period atmosphere well. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a lot overlooking the beautiful gardens in the courtyard, where you can sit and enjoy a drink in lovely surroundings. The restaurant was quite atmospheric and the food... More

We had a superior room at 99€. Bathroom, with bath and hand shower. Toilet separate, with hand basin in bathroom - I really, really hate that. Sliding door to bathroom - not good at night. The bed was very hard, so not a good night's sleep. No kettle in room - and we'd left our travel kettle at home, because... More

This was our overnight stop after our drive from Calais. It is a lovely old coaching inn with a delightful garden outside our room which we enjoyed by chilling out with a drink. Our room was nicely appointed and very clean. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. It is in a good... More

Traveling through Normandy and we stayed here. It is an old coach house and has a lovely ambiance. We had a twin room and it is a short walk into the town. Court yard garden is very well kept. The highlight was the dinner. Food was perfect. We had the €27.50 menu and it was bang on for me. Menus... More

We stayed here on Sunday night and only booked it in the morning of that day as we were over in France for the bank holiday. Wish we could have stayed longer.... Easy to find, plenty of parking and the room was excellent... This is an old coaching house and our room was in what was probably the old stables... More
