The Gites is magical. It provides one with warmth, comfort & a feeling of being in a fairy tale that is brought to life by a family unit that reaches beyond the limits to make your stay a magical journey. You can't go wrong by making this your temporary living quarters while you are in France... Larry, Renata Barnes &... More

We stayed as a family, consisting of parents, three children plus their (girl)friends, in the two houses for a week. We hardly had time to see the Dordogne because in and around the houses was everything we wanted. If needed, Renata, Larry or their daughters were there to help out. But otherwise we felt like proud owners of a beautiful... More

The little Rose Cottage is something out of a fairy tale, so charming and cosy with everything you could want for your visit. The kitchen is perfectly equiped for any culinary adventures, and with a well stocked Intermarche nearby you can pick up wonderful ingredients. The Gite is on a proper farm and is so tranquil that one cannot help... More

Wow. This beautiful Gite has something for everyone. We stayed with our three daughters (ages 16, 13, 2) and everyone had a great time. Larry and Renata are the most excellent hosts - so helpful and fun. And a full fridge and dinner upon our arrival was an added treat. We stayed in the larger gite. It had a good... More

Renata and Larry Barnes are wonderful hosts at Les Gites Fleuris. We stayed in Wisteria House. There were 6 of us (3 couples) and we were all very comfortable. We were a little worried about sharing one bathroom, but with the WC in a separate compartment, it all worked out very well. The access to quick internet service made it... More

I am late in giving my review. Larry is an amazing host. Very knowledgeable about the area. My three friends and I the Westria house. For a house that is over 200 years old it is very charming and has lots of French character. There is so much to see ( of course we could not see it all) I... More

My husband and I stayed with a friend - we had a fabulous week. Larry gave us great advice on where to go on our day trips and local restaurants to try for evening meals. Some of our most pleasant nights however were those by the fire, cats on laps, making a meal from some of the great local produce,... More
