Perfectly situated between the Vezere and Dordogne Rivers in the Perigord region, Le Chevrefeuille provides all of the comforts of home (including self-serve kitchen options) and much much more! Sara and Ian and their family run the farm/B+B with the utmost hospitality and class. The grounds include a lovely terrace, courtyards, garden, swimming pool, yard-adjacent equestrian center... Sara was especially... More

We arrived here after a long and beautiful drive and our family of 4 traveling with another family of 5 was welcomed with big smiles and open arms. Le Chevrefeuille is a beautiful farm/BB set in an amazing countryside. Our two children (14 and 12) didn't know what to explore first. They had so much fun playing with the other... More

Our family of 3 had a fabulous time at Le Chevrefeuille. We all enjoyed the hospitality of the family, the food and the amenities. The breakfast is very good with plenty of choices and we were lucky to be there on a night when Ian cooked and we enjoyed an excellent meal. The grounds and pool are lovely and the... More

What a beautiful setting, this remodeled set of farm buildings in the countryside. Sara met us with a glass of wine and welcomed us warmly. We were surprised at how many Americans were there--and families too. The facility is clean, comfortable, quiet, and efficiently run, and well-located within a few kilometers of all the attractions of the region: castles, caves,... More

Castles loom over lush, ferny forests. Rolling farmland and walnut groves are interrupted by medieval villages and quaint stone farmhouses. One of these farmhouses is Le Chevrefeuille, the perfect place to stay if you are traveling with young children. My two boys cried when we had to leave this morning, and my husband and I wished we could stay, too.... More

One of our best family vacation experiences. Perfect for our two small granddaughters. Clearn, welcoming, generous breakfast. Close to sites and activities and plenty of safe room for the children to run and play.

It was extremely pleasant to come back each night after a long day on the road and feel so welcome. The breakfast was super, and kept us going well beyond lunch. Chatting with Sara and Ian was a great way to wind down after a day of biking. This is what we hoped we would find, and more. Have fun!

We're a family of four who were travelling across France in July. Staying at Le Chevrefeuille was brilliant. Outside of staying with friends, it was the best accommodation we had all trip. Sara, Ian and the kids are all very welcoming and friendly - we felt more like people visiting old friends than first time guests. Their local knowledge was... More

We were visiting our Daughter and Son in Law in France in September, where they accompanied us on a month's tour of France. They had organized our accommodation and itinerary before we left Australia. Our last stay on our trip, prior to us driving to Paris, was with Sarah, Ian and the children. They made us very welcome for our four... More

My three children and I stayed at Le Chevrefeuille for 3 nights in July 2014. It was towards the end of a three week trip. We weren't sure that we we were at the right place when we pulled up. After staying in London and Paris, the location felt pretty remote. We were warmly greeted by Sara and her children... More
