After travelling for 3 and half weeks through the UK and France we were delighted to find ourselves in Lalinde at The Maison Porte del Marty. This beautifully renovated house situated on the banks of the Dordogne river is a must to visit and experience. Our room was large and elegant and the bed the most comfortable. The delicious breakfast... More

We arrived in Lalinde to stay with Cheri and Brian after having travelled non- stop for 3 weeks. Firstly, Brian met us at the train - a fantastic and much appreciated surprise. We stayed in a huge room with a balcony overlooking the Dordogne river. It was furnished beautifully and the bed very, very comfortable with lovely linens. It was... More

The location is incredible with views overlooking the Dordogne River. Brian and Cherie are wonderful hosts, warm and friendly with lots of local knowledge. The room was huge and comfortable. There was excellent quality towels and linen and the Egyptian cotton sheets were delightful to sleep in. Breakfast of fresh fruits, juice and pastries is served on the verandah overlooking... More

They could not have done more and after a week there we... More

Just returned from a week at this B and B in the centre of an unspoilt market town. New Zealanders Brian and Cherie offer beautiful accommodation and perfect hosting. We had a very large room , in a old but elegant house (lovingly restored in a classic style without sacrificing the property's natural charm). Our room was tastefully decorated with... More

Friends & I stayed with Cherie & Brian for 3 nights in June as they had been recommended to us - we were not disappointed! Maison Porte del Marty was beautifully restored, the bedrooms were spacious and had wonderfully comfortable beds. Cherie & Brian went beyond the "B & B" & made us feel welcome and very much at home.... More

My husband and I stayed here for three nights at the beginning of our holiday in France. I have to say we had a very enjoyable stay, the room was fantastic, extremely large, dual aspect overlooking the river dordogne. We also had use of a bathroom, separate, but exclusive to the room. Breakfast was fantastic, a selection of fresh fruit,... More
