We had our wedding party at chateau de la cote in May 2014. The views were amazing and we had perfect weather on the day. The chateau is absolutely stunning and all the rooms are very tradition and unique. The food was delicious and we loved our French wedding cake they made for us! Best day of our life's so... More

The buildings outside was stunning! The welcome from reception was very warmly given by a friendly Frenchman with some limited English. Apart from that, the inside was furnished a little as my grandma would furnish a castle, not a problem at all but just not as luxurious as the outside may have led me to believe it might be. The... A perfect choice if you are looking for relaxation. The owner and staff were very friendly & helpful. We had a room on the second floor which had fabulous views of the countryside, was clean, had plenty of hot water, clean towels daily. Bourdeilles is about a 10 minute drive away. It is an interesting medieval village with lovely restaurants.... More

We stayed for one night at Chateau de la Cote. We found everything more than to our satisfaction. Location, decor, cuisine was as you would expect from a family owned chateau in Perigord. All the staff including the owner were charming and the evening meal was delicious despite there being a power cut in the area, due to a thunder... More

This property is located a short 8 km distance from beautiful Brantome, and 3 km from the charming/rustic village of Bourdeilles (if so inclined, take a walk along a narrow country road from the chateau to Bourdeilles). If you like a quiet, away-from-everything place to stay, then this is for you. You drive a short distance from the main road... More

We were very disappointed with the state of our room when we arrived. Some may call it old world charm but it was seriously outdated. The carpet was frayed, the bed sheets worn, bed throw old, magnolia woodchip walls. The antique chair was in need of repair and the bedside lamp was dusty and would look at home in a... More

Driving over the hill our breath was taken away seeing this beautiful Chateau on the hillside in front of us! We had planned to stay one night, but ended up leaving wishing we had booked more! We were welcomed with a smile and shown to our room, in one of the towers. We had a glass of champagne sat on... More

A real renaissance castle surrounded by unspoiled hills. Large, bright rooms, with antique furniture and high windows overlooking green meadows. No luxury, no design and no high tech but charme and silence, and genuine hospitality. Good, basic breakfast.

We had an incredible extended family experience in this Chateau. We hired the entire castle and could not have been happier. Absolutely beautiful ... everything was great. Food was awesome. Do not expect modern.... that would be crazy this is a very old castle with all the charm - BUT it is not modern. It is very comfortable and exceptionable... More

An absolute quality Chateau to stay. We got engaged here in August and stayed for a few days to relax and enjoy the beautiful region in which this georgeaus Chateau is set. Beautiful food and wonderful service including a magnificent Champagne list from the cellar. Highly recommend. Bring on our next visit.
