Hi Barb & Fred, This place was lovely! Breakfast was delicious, and the B&B was in a great location. We biked the entire weekend, went to the beach, and went kayaking, returning to the B&B each night to hang out and relax. The rooms were exquisit, and the atmosphere was very peaceful. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a... More

This place is for real. No detail was overlooked in making this a truly Victorian style inn. I'm not super crazy about Victorian-era houses, but it was fun looking through all the knick-knacks, and the wallpaper was gorgeous. There was also a player piano that the owners showed off for us. The owners and their Yorkies are incredibly friendly, and... More

My husband and I spent our tenth anniversary in the Captain's Cabin at Port City Victorian Inn. The inn is beautifully decorated and the history of the house is very interesting to read. We had a wonderful room with a great bed, a fabulous jacuzzi tub that fit us both, and privacy. Our privacy was respected and we were able... More

A last minute trip, found one room available, the smallest room, but very comfortable bed, and the bathroom was so nice, many nice touches, double rain head shower, we really liked the privacy and being able to enter either the front porch or the back of the house with a stairway right off our room, Barb and Fred are wonderful... We highly recommend the Port City Victorian Inn in Muskegon, MI. The innkeepers are delightful and attentative. The Inn is beautifully decorated and very clean. The covered back porch is the perfect place to visit with friends or relax with a book. Breakfast was delicious and Barb is more than willing to accommodate any special dietary requirements. We will definitely... More

I traveled to Muskegon for business and initially chose the Port City Victoria Inn as a lovely alternative to a sterile hotel room. Turned out to be closer to heaven. The house is meticulously renovated, full of Victorian furniture & ambiance with all the right modern touches (fabulous soaking tubs, tv/dvds in all the rooms, fast wireless, comfy beds ...).... Charming room in Victorian mansion overlooking the Lake Shore Yacht Club. Step back in time and tour the Hackley-Hume homes of Muskegon's famous lumber barons. See the Muskegon Museum of Art and view their outstanding collection. Drive the scenic road from Muskegon to Montague and stop for a walk on the pristine beach at Muskegon State Park. Learn about the... More

The price was too high for this location and that is the big reason for the two stars. There's nothing within walking distance, except for the factory down the street. Yeah, you can drive to stuff, but after the long drive to get there, it would have been nice to be able to walk to something. The breakfast was fine,... More

To begin with, you stated our price was too high for this location. If you check and compare our prices with most up-scale Bed & Breakfast here in Muskegon and Grand Haven that are next to a lake, we are very competitive for what our rooms offer. You said there is nothing within walking distance. Our front desk is filled... More

This was our first stay at what I would call a "real" B&B. Barb is a most gracious and accommodating innkeeper. Her home is lovely and the location (right across from Muskegon Lake) is very good for most anything you need to do in the Muskegon area. We stayed for 3 nights. Our room was the smallest yet had possibly... More

I stayed at the PCVI while taking a sailing course at Torresen Marine and had a wonderfull three nights there. It is in a very quiet residential area, very close to the lake and an easy drive to restaurants & local attractions. Very clean room, comfortable bed, cordial hostess, wireless internet, spacious common areas, safe parking and good breakfast. All... More
