Almost off season, not many campers which made it great, Staff were very nice and helpful, Lake with sandy beach and water slide for those that had kids. Bath rooms dated but clean. Thanks for a Great weekend.

Despite the variety of play equipment, which is this campground's advantage, we just didnt find this campground up to koa standards. Bathrooms were filthy and in disrepair, not enough showers for the size of park, and electric hook-ups were not dependable. We experienced many power outages during our stay. Park doesnt allow campers to use their own boats/canoes on the... More

Loved the play activities for kids but when it was time to go the bathroom that was a terrible experience. GROSS- SMELLY- ACTUALLY WAS GAGGING. Line for the 2 gross showers.....We weren't the only family with girls that used the men's bathroom. During the day we would go down the road to a gas station. It was not until the... More

Just spent the last 4 days at the Muskegon KOA. Pro's: My wife, 4 kids, and I really enjoyed the 2 bedroom cabin as it was clean, rustic, and located in the part of the campground that I felt was ideal (opposite the highway so we felt more secluded). The beach area was clean and sandy. The kids loved the... More

Me and my family have always gone camping. We have been to plenty of campgrounds from state parks to privately owned parks. Plenty of KOA's too. This was by far the worst campground we have been to. The staff is rude, the owner is a jerk. When we booked this trip we had 8 sites total. When my grandparents and... More

I was leery of this place because of all the negative reviews, but it was one of the only campgrounds left in the area with availability at the last minute, so we went for it. The good: We had no problems with the staff/management. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The setting is nice. Watching the sunrise over the lake was... More

Pros: activities for kids like jumping pillow, boats to rent, lake for swimming, wagon ride around the property, laundry facitities. Cons: The sites were very crowded together with no trees between sites, or privacy. A "wall of RV's" blocked any view we might have had of the lake, and our site backed up to a road. There was a lot... More

Our trip here wasn't the greatest. The staff was rude and inconvenient, especially Steve the owner. The lake and waterslides were fun for the kids. They have 2 bathrooms with showers. The bathrooms were OK. The showers were very cold and there was mud everywhere. I did not have a warm shower within my 4 days of stay. Also, according... More

This place has potential for greatness. Great lake, good location, but pretty bad camp sites. It was very sandy. The "director" or Hitler, was a tool. He ran that place like a camp in Nazi Germany. I would never come here again.
