went there with my wife and have to say this was a mind blowing experience. the hotel as such is unique in the way it serves people and the way it was renovated with very modern ammenities while keeping the historic aspects of it. given the distance to Strasbourg, if you go for dinner in the restaurant and want to... Third time I have been here. Rooms are now excellent (when we first went it was a restaurant with rooms.) You can eat either in main restaurant -superb Michelin starred meal but in a relaxed setting. Even the sommelier was excellent recommending us a cheaper wine than we had originally chosen. The chocolate trolley is a joy to behold. Service... More

The fine food was perfectly delicious, between every course a small in-between-course was delivered promptly. The restaurant is nice, but a bit too loud. The hotel rooms a nice, too. The service level is not as high as expected and could be improved. The service level is not exactly what you expect paying a upper class price like in this... More

Pricy, but upscale alternative in an area with primarily lower-star hotels (they're good -- but if you want something more, this is the place for you). Bonus is a Michelin-rated restaurant on premises, but expect to pay for it! Nice breakfast.

We went to Auberge du Cheval Blanc to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a wonderful experience. The hotel room was not luxurious, but very clean and comfortable. If you are looking for all amenities and a 5-star hotel, the Cheval Blanc is not it. But if you are looking for a comfortable room and an incredible dining experience, it... More

Congratulations to the Bastian family. We stayed in the quartz rose (in room spa) suite. Very spacious with sauna and jacuzzi. Fine dining restaurant outstanding. Service great. We will be back soon!

First time I stayed in a hotel and it was fantastic. I have nothing negative to say about this place. Rooms were very clean. Beads comfortable, slept well! The staff were also very friendly and helpful for me being a first time traveller there. Breakfast was also served at exceptional standards, worth your money. I believe it a was three... More

I stayed at the Cheval Blanc recently as I wanted to eat at the hotel's restaurant. I had a memoir meal there in 1990 and have wanted to go back for many years. It did not disappoint. The meal was superb and the hotel excellent. A great stay and I will definitely be back!

Although we were spending a week in Alsace to enjoy the Route du Vin, we decided to make a detour a bit further north to Lembach, which is close to the German border, in order to visit this hotel and restaurant. Lembach itself is a fairly unremarkable, though pleasant country town, and we took the opportunity to tour a nearby... More
