The price was right, and the hotel is in a great location close to the river and L'Auberge de L'ill. The room was clean, comfortable, and the wifi worked well. The front office was very nice, and even refunded our breakfast charge when we didn't wake up in time for breakfast! Very hospitable, definitely would recommend if you're visiting Alsace,... More

Simple, clean, lovely and convenient both to Auberge de L'Ill and the beautiful town of Illhausern which has a great walking path. The breakfasts are very nice and the couple who owns this hotel are sweet and on top of all the details.

It's rught across from the Michelin 3 star Auburge d'Ill, and very welcoming. Clearly it was not comparable in terms of luxury to the Auburge, and you carry your own luggage up the stairs, but it was less than half the price of the dinner. The rooms are clean and neat and very functional. The family that operates it could... More

We stayed for a week in Les Hirondelles as a base to explore the Alsace Wine route between Colmar and Selestat. The hotel was ideally located for visiting a number of lovely parts of the wine route all within half an hour's drive. The hotel was comfortable and clean. Our room had a spacious bathroom with a powerful shower. The... More

As with most other people we stayed here as we had dinner booked at the Auberge de l'Ill restaurant in the village and couldn't afford the high prices of the restaurant's own hotel. This place is perfectly fine though and very reasonably priced. Having the pool was a nice bonus given the hot weather and it was lovely to have... More

Our cheapest hotel in Alsace, Les Hirondelles was the best bed, breakfast, and value of the lot. We thought we were just saving money for our splurge at the Auberge, a three-star restaurant throughout the forty-plus years we have been coming to Alsace (on occasion), but it was a most agreeable stay. Our room was comfortable and spacious; the owner... More

I booked this inn as it was close to Auberge de L'ill which is across the road and a few doors down, perfect position for this amazing restaurant. However even if I wasn't eating at Auberge de L'ill I would stay here again happily. It is not a luxurious or grand place and doesn't pretend to be. It is a... More

Simple rooms with small bathrooms, but a charming location and charming grounds and breakfast room. The owners speak good English and are friendly and accomodating. The breakfast had alot of variety and was of excellent quality. Although the rooms are simple the owners pay great attention to detail and provide many small thoughtful amenities. They obviously care about their property... More

We spent one night early July 2011 at this hotel because we wanted to dine at Auberge de l´lill, which was roughly in the middle of our way from Lausanne to Frankfurt, and therefore a nice point to pause during the drive. The place offers great value for the price, considering that the only other truly convenient option is the... More

This hotel was even better than I remembered in 2005. The owner was holding out our room key as I arrived in the door and this time we arrived early enough to jump in the refreshing pool after a horrid drive through a million swiss tunnels to get there. The bed embraced us into a refreshing sleep after a delicious... More
