Our stay here was quite pleasant. Staff, food and rooms were all very good, without being spectacular. The beach is pristine and beautiful. The only minor issue for us was that the pool perhaps needed to be cleaned a little more regularly as there was a lot of tree debris in it, although we were still able to swim in... More

I stayed at the Nilaveli beach hotel on a holiday to celebrate both my Mum's 70th birthday, and the fact that my parents had met on the Nilaveli beach some 32 years before, (at the Moonlight Beach hotel now sadly destroyed by the civil war). They loved the place so much then that they named me Nila after it, and... More

Stayed here for 2 days to relax on the beach and visit Pigeon Island, but was disappointed by overall experience. It is well located on the beach and there is a nice big pool to relax by, but everything else could have been improved. The aircon rooms were overpriced, so went for the much cheaper non air con rooms. The... More

We didn't stay at the hotel but went to the beach cafe for dinner. Ordered two medium rare stakes and got two rock hard dried pieces of meat. Didn't eat more than two bites. We told the server that this is not what we ordered, but they didn't do anything. The one guy who didn't specify how he wanted his... More

Nilaveli offers basic but comfortable and reasonably priced accommodation (no WiFi) and warm and spontaneous hospitality. I stayed in an upstairs luxury room. The hotel blends in well with the wonderful surroundings and offers great access to Nilaveli beach. It has a shady and spacious garden and a beach restaurant that serves good sea food at reasonable prices. This is... More

Unfortunately I didn't stay at the hotel, but me and a friend both had excellent meals in the restaurant overlooking the beautiful beach. The food was really extremely good and very reasonably priced. The swimming pool looked amazing and Ill certainly look into staying here if I visit Trinco again.

For someone who enjoys unspoilt beaches and pampering, Nilaveli Beach Hotel is the perfect destination. I visited this hotel with my family and some friends from 4th to 7th April and had the most relaxing holiday. From the very prompt and efficient check in which was handled by Mr Sudha, We were escorted to our rooms by Mr Fareed who... More

It's pricy but a nice place if you want to treat yourself. The beach and the grounds are beautiful and there are monkeys to entertain you. Rooms are excellent, western-style. Food is good but you have to endure hideous 1980s pop music. The hotel boat will take you across to Pigeon Island for a fee and you can rent snorkel... More

My first visit to this hotel and I was not disappointed. It had been rebuilt after the Tsunami and had clean and confortable rooms with all the required amenities (T.V, A/C, Mini bar etc) and in a great location with an absolute beach frontage. This is one of the oldest hotels in the area and appears to be often overlooked... More
