I ended up at this so called hotel after my tuk tuk driver refused to remember my hotel of choice was. The hotel is a joke, the door to my room did not lock, I do not know how long it took to try and fix the lock. There was no mosquito net in the room, the staff promised to... More

Saman the Manager and Raja are very helpful. If there is a problem dont hesitate to point it out. It will be fixed with a smile. The pool is almost feels like an infinity pool. Just simply great to unwind after spending a day snorkeling at Pigeon Island. Its a little expensive (because of distance) to take a boat to... More

I think this is a good value guesthouse. The rooms are very basic but clean and they also have mosquito nets. All the rooms have a small balcony that overlook the lovely grounds. The location is right on a quiet beach and if you were a sun lover this would be a good holiday spot to laze around swimming and... More

Another place i have stayed a few times with much better experiences than this stay. Everyone was friendly but at 5000rs with the pool out of use and very basic breakfast it was not great. Fantastic location however. Pool had not been maintained for sometime maybe because slow season, they kept saying they would have it done by 'tomorrow' but... More

We came as a group of friends, enjoyed our 3 days there and recommended this place to others. The beach was wonderful, rooms were simple but bright and clean, breakfast was good, hosts were friendly and helpful. The room sounded expensive at first, but with a bit of haggle, they made us a significant discount. The hostel doesn’t have a... More

Totally loved this place and surrounding. Loved the stay here. We were there for 2 days and one noon and evening we were in pool and the beach. Next day in the noon again we were in the pool. Was great fun staying here. Place is cool and calm. I remembered the movie THE BEACH after seeing this location. And... More

We stayed at Coral Bay after finding no availability in Uppuveli and were pleased to discover Nilaveli beach was a deserted paradise in comparison to its more developed neighbour. The room was clean and basic, we noticed that the only plug did not work and that surprisingly there was no showerhead! We informed the manager and he was most concerned... More

We've just spent three unforgettable days at Coral Bay. What you can expect: 1. An informal collection of simply-furnished clean spacious rooms a hop, skip and a jump away from a beautiful beach beyond the rustling palms. 2. A warm welcome from Samman, the manager, who can't do enough get you into the groove of the place. 3. Raja, a delightful,... More

We ended up staying here one night more out of desperation than anything else as everything was "booked out" in Trinco and Nilaveli Beach due to peak season. We stayed in a room without air conditioning which isnt recomended given the heat in August. admittedly we arrived on an overcast day and had just come from a 5 star resort... More
