The staff were lovely and very helpful and friendly. The location was great - particularly of our hotel room, which backed right onto the beach! The pool was nice and the breakfast ok. Dinner buffet not the best you can get in the area at all (not much Sri Lankan food!). Rooms not great and pretty expensive for quality of... More

I have to write this I review because so many others have written about poor rooms and insects and such. All is not true if you avoid the small rooms on the beach. The bungalows on the beach are small and need some renovation. Avoid those. We asked for a family room with a view and that is what we... More

Great food, friendly staff, well-tended garden, everything ok except for the rooms, which definitely need to be cleaned more properly and renovated. We were in bungalow 111, by the sea, and we were invaded by huge cockroaches. The shower was very old and in bad conditions. We also had problems in opening the window because it was faulty. Sheets and... More

Lotus Park Hotel is a great hotel at an affordable price. The rooms are clean and are new, the bed is very comfortable. They have flat screen TVs in the rooms with cable TV. The staff are very helpful in attending to your needs. The bathroom has modern features and the shower is great. The food at the restaurant is... More

The service is unfriendly, unhelpful and outright rude. We arrived in the evening asking for an affordable option and were then shown the motel-style rooms to the right of the lobby. These were absolutely filthy, full of insects and furnished in a more rock bottom style than the cheapest of guesthouses - even as they were still around 5000 rps... More

We were planning to saty in this hotel for a couple of days as it was given top rates in Lonely Planet but after 1 night we escaped to a nearby hotel which was twice as cheap and 10 times cleaner. Although the hotel premises are well kept but the actual rooms are filthy with broken windows and furniture... I... More

I traveled alone and stayed 5 nights in hostel. I booked simple room with AC. Room was clean and safe. Staf friendly and helpful. The hotel was almost empty, so i had the beach and pool almost only for myself. The location is amazing, beach clean and clear, in this time. I saw fishers, walked on the beach. Just the... More

I booked a double room from the 1st to the 4th of August at The Lotus park hotel on the 27th of July 2013 on their website. To finalize the booking, I was asked to pay for 50% of the total amount i.e. more than 100€. However, even if payment was done through 3D secure, I receive NO confirmation of... More

A group of us volunteers living in kandy wanted to go to the beach for a weekend and have a bit more of a luxurious place to stay than where we are staying in kandy! This hotel did not fulfill our expectations. The rooms are very basic, they could also be more clean.. The staff was friendly and quite helpful... More
