This hotel is horrible. We originally booked a room in this hotel, attracted by their website and reviews on Trip Advisor. It's located beside a strip joint and numerous other girly bars in the vicinity. There were no nearby reputable restaurants. The front desk itself was littered with pamphlets of suspicious looking bars and pubs. The room has this worn... More

Been here many many times over last 5 years and I gave it 4 out of 5 based on my overall opinion: rooms are good and it's a very clean hotel. The bar is quite good and location is excellent. My only negative is related to the Sunday roast lunch and Xmas dinners. The vegetables are always under cooked despite... More

Good position hotel a little rough around the edges. Stayed for 3 nights in family room. Room was nice and clean with good double beds. Pool was good but the pool surrounds are rather poor. The restaurant was excellent. The food was fantastic at a great price. Restaurant service was good but staff in other areas seemed non existent. The... More

The hotel staff has no manager only a person in charge who does not know the meaning of customer satisfaction and customer relations. She (the so called in charge) cannot decide well, the other staff spoke and decide on her behalf. There are hidden charges also.

The Palm Tree Resort offers great rooms at reasonable prices. There are many budget hotels in the area but for an extra few £/$ try the Palm Tree. The food is great, especially for the American or European traveler who has had enough boiled rice ! Varied menu to suit all tastes.

My partner and I stayed stayed at the Palm Tree for 3 nights in April 2013 and had a wonderful time. The rooms are spacious (king size bed as standard) and reasonably priced. The hotel is ideally situated on the beach and main road but we had no problem with noise as the hotel is set back slightly from the... More

Convenient for a landbase travel. Food is excellent! Rooms are clean. Rates are reasonable. :) Would recommended this and will probably come back here again.. Staff were very kind. Ate at the restaurant 3 times a day. And was serenaded by locals while having a nice meal! Airconditioning needs improvement though and would suggest the resort to put a little... More

The Palm Tree Resort is a very nice small hotel well located in Barrio Barretto along the main highway in the centre of town. The resort is beachfront with a nice pool on the main floor. The rooms are very pleasant and nicely appointed with flat screen television, fully stocked mini bar, comfortable beds and in room safe. The bathrooms... More

Room was ok and bed comfortable, relatively quiet (if you don't mind the compressors outside) and mountain and see view is a joke, so is the pool). Construction work going on (not notice ahead of our stay), so not good for sleep after 9 am. Hotel is ok, bario Barreto is ok, but not more than that.
