The house was warm and cozy... True to the Vigan experience, Villa Angela offers so much more than a place to sleep in :) - The staff were very friendly and accomodating - Breakfast was really very good (and you'll have a chance to mingle with other tourists since you'll share one big table with them - It's like living... the floors and wall are made out of wood and the whole mansion is antique and well cared for. the home that housed the provincial governor back in the early 20th century. its is a blast to the past! the food is very authentic and native! and the staff will remind you to be quite, having brought 4 kids with... This is a place that has so much potential! Ok where do I start?! The home has been renovated but, badly and it felt soul-less, like someone was setting up a museum not a place to stay in. The rooms were spacious but haven't been decorated in a way that makes them comfortable or inviting. E.g. we had a huge... More

The house is like your private mansion since it only has 6 rooms. lucky for us, we had the whole house during our stay. The big gate and spacious garden welcomed us. The house was well maintained and preserved with the "heritage" feel. I appreciated the decor, old utensils and furnitures, we cant help but make ghost jokes. (But we... More

We could only book the dormitory with double beds. The house definitely has character with a wide wooden staircase, a spacious living room. Maricris was accommodating. My 5- year old grandkid had misgivings and vehemently protested as she wants to stay in a proper hotel. The breakfast was served early. Maricris helped too in getting our orders for bagnet and... This must be the hotel whose only claim to fame is a bunch of Hollywood and local has beens. It may be a beautiful place but the rudeness of the staff cannot be tolerated. I was visiting a friend but was told I could not enter because I was not a guest. Can't enter a hotel? I know people cant... More

If you want to see something different from the usual hotel in the metro, or discover a piece of history in Vigan, stay at Villa Angela Heritage House, an old mansion owned by the Verzosas. We arrived at 3:45 am, earlier than expected. The Cuarto Pequeño was still occupied. Temporarily, Ate Maricris and Kuya Tony let us stay at the... More

We enjoyed the Villa Angela so much we could see ourselves moving in! The beautifully maintained 140 year old house was filled with antiques and surprising anecdotes, like the time Tom Cruise stayed there when he was filming Born on the Fourth of July. Our room was spacious with a high ceiling and four poster bed. The breakfasts were delicious,... More

Stayed there with my family and it just exceeded my expectations. We had the Cuarto de los Hijas for six but it seemed like we were having the whole house for ourselves as you can just freely sit and explore the living room and kitchen area. The kindness and assistance of staff Maricris and Tony are just incomparable. We felt... More
